I'm not a cat person (or actually a pet keeper at all - apart from the odd spider that takes up residence), but some of my closest friends are. This is one of a pair of tiny kittens who own one of my friends. I took this with my G10, didn't notice that the lens cover had jammed so it vignetted, hence this is a crop. Again, wasn't going to post this, but there are no flies around today!
Oct 2nd, 2010:
On the eastern edge of Desolation Wilderness, we had been confined to our tents for a few hours as a particularly heavy storm passed (what seemed to be) directly overhead. I had given up on the idea of photography and was wondering how much more pleasant the backpack into the lake would have been without the photo gear, when the rain suddenly stopped. I peaked outside to see the most amazing colours in the west. This, (and the other photos in the set), were all taken within a 15 minute window before the rain started again and continued all night. In 15 hours, the rain only stopped for 15 minutes, but those 15 minutes couldn't have come at a better time.
