yeah, made calzones again tonight. what, being surrounded by the snowpocalypse and all - it seemed like the thing to do.

Mendieta era un misterio y lo seguirá siendo, al menos su cara. Ahora sabemos que Pepita Mendieta ya no actúa sino que hace su propia ropa interior y que ha cambiado su nombre a Pepitamendieta® para que todo sea más fácil.
Nada de lo que había en el mercado había sido hecho para ella. La ropa interior que existía era muy pequeña, o muy cliché, o muy frágil, o muy angosta, o con mucho encaje. Toda con un extraño concepto del término ”sexy”. Era ropa interior para mujeres nada más, y Pepitamendieta® no es solo una mujer; es también una niña cuando se la antoja.
Porque cuando Pepita se pone un calzón no está usando ropa interior, está usando ropa a secas. No se trata de una prenda extravagante de color aburrido y de textura complicada que hay que esconder. Un calzón de Pepitamendieta® hace parte de la pinta.
Pepitamendieta® es la única mujer con calzones propios, y como propios que son los ha bautizado a su antojo, pero no arbitrariamente.
Nombres para la parte de debajo de la ropa interior hay muchos. Calzones es quizá el más aceptado, pero nada está dicho. Mientras en España le dicen bragas, los argentinos prefieren bombacha. Blumers en Cuba, chones en Chile, pasando por cucos, panties, interiores y hasta el impresentable pantaleta, todo vale.
Usted puede llamarlo como quiera, pero cuando tenga en su mano una pieza que Pepitamendieta® hizo para usted sepa que está a punto de ponerse unos Pepita. Lo dicho, la idea es que todo, no solo el nombre, sea más fácil.

we used calabrese salami, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms and home made tomato sauce with italian sausage

These are filled with cabbage, onions, and mushrooms in a cheddar mustard sauce. Perfect food to take to work for lunches. I plan to do a lot more experiments with fillings. I also plan to do a part whole wheat crust too. Done right a calzone can be a complete meal.
Andrew and I spent the day making calzones!
He opted to fill his with a "secret" spicy tomato paste blend (secret only because I was kneading dough and not paying attention lol), veggie chicken and pepperoni (thank you Y'ves!) and a blend of Jarlsberg and Provolone cheeses. They smelled AWESOME when baking, and you'd never guess the dough was fat free or whole wheat :-).

We ordered a vegetarian Calzone meal for Sandi and I, it came with chips, a cheese garlic bread, and a large bottle of Coca Cola, the food was good but I dont drink any kind of Coke
