These little girls were taking turns calling for their daddies across the ocean. My niece on the left was calling for her daddy who is in the desert touring in Afghanistan. My daughter on the right was calling for her daddy in Nebraska. I just loved this moment. My niece's husband is deployed in Afghanistan and we traveled 1200 miles to keep them company for a week. I sure hope daddy got the sound waves made it to Daddy!

Actually, mostly a stack of Starbucks' gift cards I found abandoned in a phone booth, but another obsessive ritual I have with found objects. I black them out with my King Size Permanent marker and then get wacky with the Whiteout pen. I give them to the plethora of sp'angers I encounter on my daily walk to work.
