It was so slow, quiet and boring at work today. In fact, it is so boring I took this at my desk and am uploading on company time!

I used Retro Camera's Little Orange Box

I etched some calculations into a tablet using an arrowhead I dug up out of the dirt on the riverside and doggone it, I figgered out what day it is today. I also cut my hair again. I just meant to clean up some flyaways but anyone who's ever taken a scissor to their own hair always tells themselves that and then next thing you know, you're 3 months behind again in your growing-out progress.

Lot of calculations and testing to make sure I have the spacing right. Fortunately the walls are almost straight in the new house. This would have been a real challenge in the old house.

Stuff going on tonight, so just took a quick shot of a calculator on my desk

This shows my various sketches and calculations to analyze and strategize the design for the lace liner of a partial geodesic dome, which made up the 'skirt' of the igloo dress for Nicole Dexter's exhibition at Granville Island.

I had to strategize the design to functionally hide the framing, look nice, and structurally sound enough to be installed and uninstalled numerous times, as the sculpture does get broken down and moved to new locations. It was quite the challenge, with a huge sense of reward afterwards.

I never thought I was that great at math, yet I managed to calculate it correctly and construct the liner. I was pretty proud that I managed to get the math right and have this piece done in pretty much 24 hours time.

before he goes. But I shall write you immediately on the reciept of yours, a few lines to let you know my situations and calculations. You will probably be surprised to hear that your Father’s trial was the last that came before the court on Saturday afternoon; and still more to hear that it was adjourned. I was told that the examination of the Plaintiff’s witnesses occupied the time till nearly eleven at night, and that he then requested that the trial might be adjourned, and the (missing) from home. Only one witnefs ({missing} your Pa’s side was {missing} -ined ; but this was so completely counteracted all Bailey’s testimony that was Ergs(?) Carnahan one of the jusry while at tea it is said, observed to Dixon it was well for him that it went no farther. To which he replied “yes, he was aware of it.” Dixon, Lee & Hormer were Bailey’s attorneys; Hastings and Bryan your Fathers. It is the general opinion that Bailey will withdraw his suit before another term. Now, my C, if you were here you would tell me that I must not sit up longer, and upon this very consideration I shall leave this page unfilled. I think I shall not take time to look over what I have written. You must correct mistakes yourself. I know however without looking it over that I have been my own principal subject. And had this been the case with correspondants of mine I should have exclaimed “Egotism! Egotism!” But after the repeated afsurances which you have given me that any thing relating to myself is interesting to you, I can hardly deem it necefsary to make an apology. Mr Axtell is not there now to see my letters. Irene & Samuel did not think hard of you at all for not coming there again after they heard the cause explained. Irene said she was glad on the whole that you did not, for sister Dolly made quite a fufs till she heard you had not been to Irene’s again. This is not closing my letter. I cannot bear to draw toward a close; it being the parting moment so (fresh?) to my mind. I do not like to think on the only (?) unhappy scene of vacat(?). I shall expect yours next week on wednesday. Pofsible that I must wait 9 days for intelligence from you? I shall wait with not a little impatience. O my precious friend farewell. Chas. Hall .__ Sarah W Lawrence

November-2022

Overview of the calculations for the costs of purchasing tools to produce front and rear seats for the Daf 600. The entire production project is divided into detail components.

The amounts are stated in old Dutch guilders.

Document was published in November 13, 1958. This was after the first official presentation of the Daf 600, and before the actual production could start in 1959.

I inherited these folders from my former father-in-law. He was appointed as a mechanical engineer to convert the technical ideas of Hub van Doorne and the design of designers Van den Brink and Van der Brugghen into a real production car.

My father-in-law was responsible for purchasing the sheet metal machines and presses to make the metal body parts. He also helped put together the assembly line to build the Daf 600 bodywork.

I did the calculations in my head - this is 1440W of photons.

A standard household circuit breaker is 15A draw, which means 1650W tops. You do not want to be running ANYTHING else on the same circuit as this bad boy.

Calculations or stones, infections, failure, genitourinary, Infections, urethra, prostate, cystitis.

I've tried out using calculations in photoshop to convert my image to black and white. Never tried it before tonight or even heard of it, until I went to digital night at my local photography club.

When I die I want to be incinerated. Don't get me wrong. I love to venture into grave yards and burial sites. Such great photo ops. I kinda understand having a resting place for our loved ones, and a place to visit and mourn memories. But I say put me in an Urn. Save the space. How many dead people are taking up space that are long forgotten.. someday we'll run out of space to put people.. Then it'll end up like that place in Florida where they tried burying folks on top of one another.. Oops... Put us all on rockets and shoot us into space.. maybe we'll meet our makers there....
