Caesar enjoyed his holiday even though he spent most of the time looking after our cottage whilst we walked.
This is one of my favorite overlooks. This is looking at Table Rock from Caesar's Head. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l.
One of the statues outside the Quirinal palace, the residence for the President of Italy, in Rome, lit by the setting sun.
Widely reported to be a young Julius Caesar, however he appears un-armoured and carrying the horn of plenty. I haven't been able to find a good source, but am aware that Caesar's political career didn't begin til his mid 30s, and this feels like a more youthful depiction.

The Forum of Caesar or “Foro di Cesare” in Rome is one of a series of Imperial Forums built by successive Roman emperors. First commissioned by Julius Caesar in around 54 BC and completed in 46 BC, the Forum of Caesar was the first of these forums and was intended to relieve the already overcrowded Roman Forum.
At the time of the opening of the Forum of Caesar, the famous Roman leader had won a victory over his rival Pompey the Great. A celebration of this victory was constructed at the Forum of Caesar in the form of the Temple of Venus Genetrix. The godess to which the temple was dedicated was the defender of the Julian clan.
Today, the columns and platform of a Temple of Venus Genetrix can be seen at the Forum of Caesar.

This scenic view can be enjoyed from the Caesars Head Overlook in the state of South Carolina. I went there this fall last week at a time when the trees at the higher elevation were already past peak but the valleys down below were still very colorful.Red, yellows, greens et all. I tried balancing the overcast sky in this shot with a Graduated Neutral Density filter.
