Interesting Fact about his hotel:
Built in 1966. Caesars Palace was built with mob money.
Founded by Jay Sarno and Stanley Mallin. Sarno was a colorful character with a big appetite, you might say. To fulfill his big vision for Caesars, Sarno and Mallin got a $10.6 million loan from the Teamsters Union pension fund, sometimes referred to as “the mob’s bank.” The mob’s money was courtesy of none other than union boss Jimmy Hoffa. {Knowledge is Power}
Caesar was busy painting a beautiful mural on the wall of a coffee shop in Toronto and I just had to go back and ask him about his artwork. He removed his headphones and explained that this was a job commissioned by the owner of the coffee shop and he had "won" the job over several other artists who had competed for it.
He told me that he is a graduate of the local art college and enjoys doing art projects with children as well as large-scale projects such as this one. He showed me some of his portfolio on his smart phone and the paintings were large and remarkably detailed. Caesar told me this job was set to take 5 days to complete and that he can't paint when the temperature drops near the freezing point because the paint will not adhere.
He liked the idea of the 100 Strangers Project but it took a bit of coaxing to get him to show me his face for the photo. It was a very nice interaction and he encouraged me to return in a few days to see the finished product.

A lovely replica of Winged Victory at Samothrace, one of the more famous Greek sculptures.
The statue depicts the Greek Goddess of Victory, Nike, and the original is housed at the Louvre, Paris, France.
The area right under the tower in the background is the Caesars Palace Outdoors Arena. From the late 1970s through the 1990s, it was actively used for high-profile boxing matches, and although it is no longer used as actively (and MGM Grand Garden Arena tends to host boxing matches), it does still see occasional usage.

Такое кино я люблю - бриллианты фееричнейшего стёба рассыпаны по всему фильму - тут вам и Красная подлодка у берегов Америки (это пять!), и пресловутый чемодан денег (в итоге вообще потерявшийся - он утонул)), и лже-пафосный бабник-алкоголик (по фильму) Клуни, и взаимоисключающий троллинг патриархов всех конфессий о роли небезызвестных пероснажей в той самой истории, плюс отличный эпизод у Ralph Fiennes, который пытается научить молодую звезду вестернов и туповатого ковбоя (Alden Ehrenreich) сыграть в драме (впрочем не менее дурацкой, чем те вестерны).
Остальные суперстары в не менее идиотских ролях, отмечу Тильду, она играет сестёр-близнецов - надоедливо пронырливых журналисток, и Channing Tatum - этот вообще прыгнул выше головы! Правда жаль, что у Scarlett Johansson маловато времени - киса играет беспринципно-лживую стерву, и одновременно, по одной из линий сюжета, она - невинная русалка, в прямом смысле, хаха. Единственный нормальный человек в этом цирке, это пожалуй Бролин, управляющий студией, он практически безупречен (правда ходит на исповеди каждые сутки, причем по совершенно дурацким поводам).
Довершает апокалипсис наших дней - ботано-коммунистическое подполье, состоящее сплошь из сценаристов-идеалистов, которые считают что их обдирают студии, при этом они живут нахаляву в шикарнейшем доме на берегу океана, где их приютил некий друг, и проводят жизнь в бесконечных праздных разговорах, обличающих проклятую капиталистическую систему - давно я не получал такого эстетического удовольствия! Думаю что это один из лучших фильмов Коэнов, и он резко выделяется на фоне невыносимо безмозглого барахла в текущем прокате (типа дедпула/супермэна - буэээ). Так что не пропустите, с сабами он ещё идёт в Авроре, например.

It's a hard building to love. When I first moved to Streatham, I was told to avoid walking outside Caesar's, especially after dark, as it had an insalubrious reputation for gang-related, alcohol fuelled violence. It was, however, undoubtedly iconic, with its flashy mirrored front and statue of Caesar in a chariot with four horses, which made quite an imposing sight from passing busses.
It wasn't until much later that I found out that under the mirrors and grime was the historic Locarno Ballroom, once the glamourous centrepiece to Streatham nightlife in its incarnation as the "West End" of South London. (In its 60s discoteque incarnation, it hosted bands from the Rolling Stones to the Who.) The theatres, nightclubs and movie palaces still line the high street, but now they have been converted to bingo halls, flats - and Caesars, along with its neighbour the Megabowl, awaits demolition. For what to built in its place? That hasn't been decided yet, so the buildings, with their history and imposing architecture, are simply left to rot.

This location opened on October 9th, 2020; it was originally part of a Twin B Auto Parts, which opened in August 1988 and closed in 1994. It became a Dairy Queen on September 16th, 1995, which closed in April 2017.

The Caesar fountain is the second of the fountains to be placed on the Upper Square and is the largest and most complex of the Baroque structures. Once again Václav Render the master stonemason received the commission from the town council (he also contributed to the creation of three other Baroque fountains—Tritons, Mercury and Jupiter). The contract from the 14th of April 1725 requests that the submitted proposal and its consequent construction should result in “water flowing from the fountain on St. Michael’s day the 29th of September”. The stonemason Václav Render would regularly invite young talented sculptors to contribute to co-operative work on the construction of the Olomouc Baroque fountains, giving them opportunities for work on renowned town commissions which they would not have gained on their own. This was always done with an eye to finding quality sculptural work. In the case of Caesar fountain it was Jan Jiří Schauberger who Render enlisted, creating the equestrian statue of the professed founder of the town, his masterpiece at the age of not-yet 25, inspired by the statue of Constantine the Victor in the Vatican Scala Regia. The task of creating one of the most demanding of sculptural themes–a statue riding on a horse—was carried out very successfully by the young journeyman. Unfortunately, he did not settle in Olomouc permanently. After the year 1728, when he created the statue of Saint Florian on today’s Žerotín Square, he left the town and only returned for a brief period in 1735, now a Brno Master, when he created a pair of angels and a relief of the Crucifixion for the main altar for the Pilgrimage church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary on Svatý Kopeček (The Holy Hill). The basin for the fountain is the work of Render. Václav Render carried it out as a regular shape, in which six sharp corners with six arched segments alternate. Schauberger’s sculptural group is situated in the middle of the basin on an imitation rock. In addition to the statue of the rider on a rearing horse, he also created two mermen lying down with the symbols of Moravia and Lower Austria on them, as well as a sitting dog. The stone Julius Caesar is situated in such a way that his face is turned away from the Olomouc Town Hall in the direction of one of the town houses on the square. Apparently, the sculptor’s love interest lived in the house at the time the fountain was built.

The Nickerson Plaza Little Caesars is one of the original late 1980s locations in Hampton Roads that survived the large 1999-era wave of closures, and throughout the 2000s it was one of only three on the peninsula operating (Denbigh/Newport News and Hayes were the other two, with Hayes gone since 2008) before the company's revitalization about a decade ago. This one is still sporting the mid-late 2000s décor in its' spacious lobby, and looks a whole lot less dingy compared to the one in Denbigh!
Caesar salad with cranberries it was so good . I didnt make this salad . I took this shot at my grandaughters engagement party. there was so much food there and it all was so delicious .
