365 Days Project - 79

One of Las Vegas' largest hotel/casino complexes and most recognised landmarks, Caesars Palace has a Roman theme.

The complex contains many statues, columns and iconography typical of Hollywood Roman period productions, including a 20-foot (6.1 m) statue of Julius Caesar near the entrance. Caesars Palace is now owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. As of July 2016, the hotel has 3,976 rooms and suites in six towers and a convention facility of over 300,000 square feet (28,000 m2).

The hotel has a large range of restaurants, including several serving authentic Chinese cuisine to cater to wealthy East Asian gamblers. From the outset, Caesars Palace has been oriented towards attracting high rollers. The modern casino facilities include table games such as blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, Spanish 21, mini-baccarat, Pai Gow and Pai Gow poker; a 4,500-square-foot (420 m2) 24-hour poker room; and a large number of slot machines and video poker machines. The complex has been expanded many times over the years.

From 1981 to 1984, the complex also hosted 2 Formula 1 and two CART races. The former circuit is long gone and one would never know it was even there.

Two of Las Vegas' Caesars Palace's six towers—along with a portion of the Bellagio—are reflected in the 8-acre artificial lake in front of the latter hotel.

Mott’s Clamato Pickled Bean launched across Canada in January, driven by research that suggested the pickled bean was the second most popular garnish for a Caesar, next to celery sticks.

The snow melted, the rain was heavy and the lake rose. The waterfalls were so full they were hardly more than huge ripples.

1 eggyolk

50 ml archide oil

30 gr anchovies

0.5 t whole grain mustard (limburgse)

salt & pepper

The recipe asked for olive oil and Dijon mustard, of course. Did that and hated it. It turned out bitter and yuk. So I started again and made it with arachis/peanut oil and my favorite whole grain mustard. The result was yummie.

Caesar's has been around a long time and it never ceases to impress me; it hasn't lost its splendor and opulence. This is just one of the minor entrances to the complex; the attention to detail is amazing. Other places, such as The Venetian and Bellagio, have lost their luster.

I hope everyone has been having a great holiday celebration with friends and family!

John taught me how to make his fabulous Caesar salad dressing. This tasty chicken-Caesar salad was the result.

This head “velato capite” of a Julio-Claudian Prince, probably, portrays Nero Julius Caesar 16 years old (c. AD 6 – AD 30), Stemma Drusorum N. 17.

He was son of Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder, and brother of the emperor Caligula. By the death of Drusus Minor, the son of Tiberius, in A.D. 23, Nero became the heir to the imperial throne.

In A.D. 29 he was accused of treason along with his mother. Nero was exiled to the island of Pontia, and shortly afterwards was there starved to death. According to some accounts he put an end to his own life, when the executioner appeared before liira with the instruments of death.

Entrance to swimming pool.

Their pools are open to the public . The topless Venus pool is $20.00 but no charge M-Thur. The Bacchus pool up the curved stairs is VIP only. Whenever I go to their pools, I stop at their slots to make a $5.00 contribution. I always look forward to visiting these fantastic pools on my vacation to Vegas.
