In between the rain showers there was a lot of commotion at Cadman pool where the Canada geese were kicking off.
Went slightly off course in the woods near Cadmans Pool yesterday, due to the boggy ground , and happened on this chappy who clearly wanted a game!
Every year the canada geese return to Cadman's Pool in the Forest. There are about twenty of them there. Six of them swam over when I walked to the edge of the pool: perhaps I am being sentimental, but I am sure they are the goslings from last year.
There were two male ducks and one female at Cadman's Pool and it was obvious one of the males was an interloper. The 'couple' kept taking off flying around the pond and landing in another spot but each time the uninvited guest would do the same. There were lots of other ducks there but he obviously felt drawn to this one particular female.
