We have had a backyard Cactus Grove for some time. The blossoms bloom overnight for one night only and close up by mid-morning the next day. This is the largest bloom we have had as I counted 24 blossoms this morning.

I saw many saguaro cactus while on my trip, but I was never where I could get a good picture. This rest stop was my last chance! See how the plant flowers at the very tops of the branches?

It reminds me of someone shaking pompoms!

Flat Teddy enjoyed seeing prickly pear cactus in bloom, he came to the desert at the right time!

These purple cactus blooms in the spring and only stay a day or two.
