Kyoto, one of the most touristic Point of Japan. Out of my comprehension how the cable network can be turned to such a messy knot-work.

At the river on Belle Isle tonight.

Seeing the City of Madrid from High up, you can get a Cable car that takes you up and out over the city to the Caasa de Campo Park. The park covers hilltops to the West of the city centre and was originally a Royal hunting park.

After the Brooklyn bridge was completed in 1883 it was discovered that sub-standard quality cable had been used in it's construction. Luckily the bridge had been designed to be 600% stronger than required. The cheap cable made the bridge only 400% stronger than needed. After the discovery, hundreds of diagonal cables were added from the lower deck to the towers for extra strength. They turned out to be unnecessary but they add to the bridge's 'distinctive' apperance.

Not sure why but when one thinks of NYC bridges the Brooklyn bridge seem to be 'the' bridge that springs to mind.

Some facts:

Started in 1870 completed in 1883.

Over a mile in length.

Connects Manhattan island with the borough of Brooklyn (and vice versa).

The first steel wire suspension bridge ever built.

When first completed it was the largest suspension bridge in the world. (Bigger by half than the previous record holder.)

In May 2008 the NY celebrated the 125th anniversary of the bridge's opening.

A passing cable car on Powell. These cars come within inches of each other. Hanging on the outside, as I was, can be hazardous if you don't pay attention

Another cable car shot, from the same location as this one. Tried Sephia this time.
