During my cleanup session I threw away these; one of the rare items where the visible logo didn't bother me at all. And probably the best sandals I ever owned (until now!). I found them by accident, and when I later went to get new ones I found they had been discontinued -- imho they are the best sandals Adidas ever made...
So I wore them for a while longer, until I found the very comfortable Reef sandals I'm currently wearing. Despite the ridiculous name ("King Smoothy") these are rather plain, which I like.
My sewing-machine broke down on me again yesterday, the third time in 6 months. The man of the sewing-machine-store told me that the Pfaff Hobby is a nice machine, but not intended to be used on a daily basis and for the things I use it for. So...I bought a new one, I am waiting for it to come. I feel like a kid on Christmas-day!
Thank you, my first sewing-machine! It's going to be repaired and sold again by the sewing-machine-man, I got a nice discount on the new machine for it. I hope my Pfaff Hobby will make another beginning sewist very happy.
I stopped painting and crafting for a while, because I felt something's wrong with my sight. I can't seem to focus, and everything is so blurry. My eyes get tired fast too.
I got worried so I booked an appointment with my optometrist.
The receptionist: "Your last appointment was 3 years ago..." I gasped. Time flies.
I went yesterday, and did the initial computer reading. Dr. Li looked at it, compared to my file, and was puzzled. She kept asking herself, is it the right file? The computer is wrong?
She said, your myopia has improved a lot! My last reading was -500 and -400, now it's -350 and -250. She said, think, what have you been eating or doing? I need to tell my patients lol
I said omg, is it because I'm getting oldddddd and have hyperopia and they are canceling out each other. She laughed, it doesn't work that way.
She gave me prescription, -400 and -300. She said she doesn't want me to go so low all of a sudden. And told me not to get a big lot of contact lens with this prescription in case I go even lower.
She told me one of the reasons for a sudden change of reading, is diabetes. I said my last body check said my blood sugar is fine, but I do have a family history of diabetes. She told me to check.
I checked this morning and my reading is 4.9. Quite normal. So phew.
Then I remember: I've been doing eye exercise Song showed me. I've been doing it almost every other night, or when I remember to do it. I guess it's working!
Time for new glasses!
