Am 10. März 1999 herrscht während der Herbstmesse rege Nachfrage auf allen Tramlinien, welche den Messeplatz (Halt "Mustermesse") befahren.
In der Rosental-Schlaufe stehen ein Zug der Linie 14 (Düwag-Doppeltraktion aus Be 4/6)), 1 (Yysebähnli mit Be 4/4+B4+B4) und 15 (Standardzug, Baracke Be 4/4 +B4). Rechts am Fahrbahnrand ein Fahrzeug der Betriebsaufsicht.
Der Rundbau mit der grossen Uhr steht unter Denkmalschutz, das Hotel Admiral ist dem Messeturm gewichen. Beim Gebäude links mit der Aufschrift "Messe Basel" handelt es sich um ein Provisorium der Messe-Verwaltung.
Trams können heute auf dem Messeplatz keine mehr wenden - dafür wurde als Ersatz die Schlaufe beim Bad. Bahnhof realisiert (Gleise rechts im Bild von/nach Bad. Bhf bzw. Riehen und Richtung City).

Since 1999, the Bex-Villars-Bretaye railway has formed part of Transports Publics du Chablais, together with the AOMC, ASD and ASL lines, and the BVB's appealing blue livery is being phased out in a favour of this common-standard lime green. Nothing can detract from the scenery though as a Beh 4/8 twin-car unit, one of three supplied by Bombardier/Stadler of Vevey in 2001 draws into Gryon station en route to Bex.
BVG route 316 crosses the border between Berlin and Potsdam. It runs from Wannsee, crossing the famous Glienicker Brücke where it then terminates to meet Potsdam tram route 93 for passengers to reach the city centre.
