80s Scene It
This was taken handheld in pretty low lamplight. I'm *super* impressed with the low light performance of this thing.
Buzz A Rama, "The place to race"-- is the only slot car racing arcade remaining in the 5 boroughs of NYC. This place has been around for 45 years, and upon entering you feel like you have been caught in an 70's-80's time warp. From seeing the faces of the little (and big) kids here you know the Buzz has withstood the test of all the Nintendo, iphone games, etc.. This is a little secret gem located in the Kensington neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Buzz Aldrin explained the new beard to us: space teams are made of young grad students and old graybeards. "Now I'm a graybeard."
Note the actual shape of Buzz's torso when he raises his tail and wings to void (excrement) to lessen his weight before flying.
Clever name, huh? I came up with it and had to convince Caden to use it to name his bear. I guess he didn't get the play on words.

On the 40th anniversary of the return of Apollo 11 from the moon Buzz Aldrin came to the USS Hornet Museum in Alameda, CA. Aldrin talked about the experience of going to the moon, and he spent most of the afternoon signing 1,000 copies of his book. The aircraft carrier Hornet was the ship that fished Apollo 11 out of the Pacific ocean after it had arrived back on Earth.
I think this Longfin Squid was following me last night, maybe using my lights as a hunting tool - striking out at the silversides attracted to the light beam. I say that becasue at the end of the dive I rotated in place mostly and surprised diver came face to face with surprised squid! Only got one chance for a quick shot before it darted off (though I found it a moment later).
