Laurence (Larry) Robichaud served in the Second World War. This photo was taken in St. Homer (probably Saint-Omer) France in 1945. A note on the photo says that the damage was caused by a buzz bomb.
Marquette's Buzz Williams shows off his dance moves
If this whole basketball coach thing ever turns sour for Marquette's Buzz Williams, a second career as a hip-hop dancer could be a fallback option.
At the very least he proved he has some impressive moves for a 37-year-old guy from rural Texas earlier this week when he walked it out on the sideline after a nice follow slam from guard Darius Johnson-Odom against Louisville.
There's no doubt Marquette will be part of the Big Dance later this month when the NCAA tournament draw is announced. Projected 12th in the Big East because of the departure of star guards Dominic James, Wesley Matthews and Jerel McNeal, the Eagles have emerged as one of the nation's most pleasant surprises, winning 10 of their last 11 to rise all the way to fifth in the standings.
Williams is a dark horse national coach of the year candidate, though he's somewhat overshadowed in his own conference by Syracuse's Jim Boeheim and Pittsburgh's Jamie Dixon. But, hey, if Williams can't eclipse them in coach of the year voting, he's probably a good bet in a dance-off.
Buzz had it with all the new toys moving in and is hitchhiking his way out of here. (I found Buzz laying on the ground as pictured, so I can only image he flopped down when I walked into the room.)
Day 205 - Playing Buzz
What a summer! It's raining, it's cold and it will be not really bright outside. Therefore, I played with my friends Timmy and Schafi with the game console today. The console had a big red button, where we always had to push to answer a question. So at least we had a little fun today.
Was für ein Sommer! Es regnet, es ist kalt und es wird gar nicht richtig hell draußen. Deshalb habe ich heute mit meinen Freunden Timmy und Schafi mit der Spielkonsole gespielt. Die Konsole hatte einen großen roten Knopf, wo wir immer drauf drücken mussten, um eine Frage zu beantworten. So hatten wir heute wenigstens ein bischen Spaß.

I have a Buzz Lightyear toy on my desk at home and I decided to experiment some more with macro shots.

Assignment: Low Key photography
I was hoping to get a "scary evil vicious dog" look in this photo, not sure I accomplished it. If I had more time, I think I could improve but, as usual, I am at the end of the week and need to submit what I have.
I find that this photo looks VERY different on my various computers. I was hoping to get his one eye bright and a suggestion of the rest of his face. You may have to view large to see his face. I used a flashlight to illuminate his eye and had to be careful to not blow out his white eyebrow.
Definitely better viewed large!

I was in need of a break, I decided to do something a bit more simple. Tried a little new transparency editing its not really noticeable ha but i tried!! tomorrow will be better :) & ill catch up on streams in the morning.

This is now my favorite ride at Disney World. You use those big bulbous guns to shoot targets and score points. It wasn't a crowded day at the park, so we went on many times in a row, and by the end I was kicking some target ass. This was supposed to be a photo of my 300,000+ point score, but sadly, the flash washed the numbers out. You'll just have to trust me.
(The Men In Black ride at Universal Studios is a similar concept. I like that one even better.)
(UPDATE 11/26/08 - We brought our eight-and-a-half month old daughter on the ride today. She sat on Sue's lap while I did the shooting. I didn't get nearly 300,000 points this time, but I'm going to blame our daughter, who liked playing with the "Spin" lever...)
