Disney Pixar Formation Arts 1 by Square Enix
From Square Enix comes this first series of Disney & Pixar Formation Arts trading figures, an assortment of six of everybody's favorite Pixar animated movies realized in 3D! These trading figures are not only sculpted in gorgeous detail, but also, each piece is painted in vibrant colors as seen in the movies. Each trading figure is marked as a chess piece on the back of the display base, so can also be used in a chess game.
There are 6 trading figures from the Formation Arts - Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story 1, Woody from Toy Story 2, Flik from A Bug's Life, Sulley, Mike and Boo from Monsters Inc, Mr Incredible and family from The Incredibles, and Nemo, Marlin and Dory from Finding Nemo.

From the archives. Took this in the fall. There was a house I passed in the town where I work that had this gorgeous wall of Heavenly Blue Morning Glories. I stopped and took pictures of them a day or so before Hurricane Sandy, which means I photographed them just before they were likely destroyed. I might post some of those pics, but out of all of them, I liked this one the best. Those granules of pollen look much bigger than I would have expected them to. Do you think those are individual granules of pollen? Or do you think each one is many granules of pollen? This guy was very docile and chill. I was able to get VERY close to him with my macro lens and he didn't budge. I have pictures of this that are much closer, but this one was the clearest. In fact, I'm not so sure this is the macro lens. The macro lens shots had a much more shallow depth of field which is why they weren't as clear.

Creator John Lasseter is on record as saying he wanted to create an action figure in the line of GI Joe for Toy Story and decided upon a spaceman figure. He attributes his design to the influence Apollo astronauts, in particular their clear helmets, skullcaps, communication devices and white suits. The purple and lime green colour scheme were his wife's and his own favourite colours. (Source: Wikipedia)

I believe that this is a baby bumblebee... it looked like it was shedding some royal jelly as it was slowly making it's way around this rudbeckia in my garden on a very windy day. SOOC

Friends new arrival - Meet Buzz an 8 week old brown Newfoundland Pup ... Lives with his Big Bro' Woody !
His eyes seem a bit freaky to me, but our 4-year-old granddaughter was delighted when he was discovered in the attic today. Her college freshman brother left him behind. Lucky for her as "she's wanted one her whole life!"

The boys got their annual summer buzz cuts today. They have such great big blond hair that I hate to see it go but it will be back soon enough and the shaved look works for summer. Easy to find any ticks and showers go much faster. Wish I could grow it back like them.
I have a Buzz Lightyear toy on my desk at home and I decided to experiment some more with macro shots.
