Groom, Bride's Man, Groomsmen

We had the buttons and swag from folks who donated door prizes sprinkled down the center of the tables. That worked out perfectly and was a lot of fun to look at! You can see Susan Beal's Bead Simple book here on display. The button bracelet project was inspired by her Red Vintage Button Bracelet in Bead Simple. We also had copies of her Cute As A Button bracelet project (that appears in the current issue of CRAFT) out for folks if they wanted to try the wire version.

I had captured this photo when Syai and I were lost somewhere in Tampines and were trying to find our way back to school.

As we were looking around for any of our peers who could tell us how to get back to school, I noticed this old man using the ATM machine and I immediately thought of taking this photo as a symmetry and balance shot.

In this photo, the old man is the dominant figure whereas the ATM machines are meant to balance out each other on the left and right side end of the photo.

I must admit, though, that taking this shot was very tedious because for every time I clicked the button to take the photo, there would always be someone passing by who would ruin the shot. Furthermore, as I was standing in the sun and the ATM machines were under a big shade, it was very difficult to get the right exposure for the photo. Furthermore, as I was rushing to take this photo, the photo turned out not straight. Also, I should have zoomed in more to get rid of the woman at the side of the photo, or at least capture the woman as a whole so the photo would be balanced between the man at left ATM and the woman at the right ATM.

Nevertheless, I am proud of myself for not giving up and succeeding in capturing a picture like this. Thus, I had no problem choosing this photo to upload under Symmetry and balance.

The challenge for today is to make a project with buttons. I had this beautiful ribbon and was so pleased to find that it matched Papertrey's Raspberry Fizz paper perfectly! And with Valentine's just around the corner, I used that for my theme.

Button was found on a hot day on the porch. His four siblings were dead. he didn't even have his eyes open when I found him. I used sour cream to keep him alive until he was on solid food.
