Obviously I have no clue what I'm doing. This is nothing new. What you see here is half a chinese frog button. I don't know how to get it to take a shape, so I've grabbed a bobbin lace pillow and pinned it to it. I assume I will force it to do my bidding with strong thread.
No one teaches me how to do these things. It's all a haphazard guess, really. This will work, or there will be consequences.

Along with the elastic and buttons, you will need some type of adhesive. I used good ol' crazy glue.

I went to the (best) button shop (ever) today to find some new buttons for my favorite yellow coat. The old ones were pretty cool in that "they're the originals" sort of way, and I found out that they're actually pewter, which is pretty cool. But honestly, they're just not attractive.
Button Quail are the smallest of the "true" quails, about four inches long. They come in silver, white, browns and various combinations and shades of these colors, also known as "mutations".

The lady in green on the far right had a small rinky dink camera and kept
photographing the couple in white on the left in the stupidest places.
She put them opposite direct sunlight for one squinty eyed photo
and then took numerous shots of them under a bridge in darkness without
using a flash.
It was all I could do not to intervene.
I felt like screaming "Come out into the light! It's a mostly cloudy day! No shadows!"
