I have a friend who loves buttons and she inspired this brooch based on a large lovely textured button
Button with brass filigree stamping, crystal rondelle attached with wirework, size 15 seed beads and 4mm beads.
Christmas button doll in crochet dress with fluff trim and white and silver underskirt and matching bonnet. About 5" tall, not including legs.
Bead stringing using Lesley Watt's tutorial. Polymer clay colored with alcohol inks, two with text from vintage farmer's atlas added, button from Jo-Ann's.
Seen in a crafts shop.
That is entirely made up out of buttons!

i have a tendency to actively seek and then push big red buttons regardless of the impending consequences... yah... i have a problem o.O
Inspired by one of my contacts (who also kindly gave instructions!), I made some button flowers to give to my Mother in Law & her sister. They were made from buttons I inherited when their Dad moved into a flat in the summer.
