Went button hunting today ... in our city of 110,000 people I had a hard time finding any retailer who sell them! These are from Walmart's craft section. I remember the "good old days" of fabric stores with walls full of buttons ... and once I met a button-maker from Germany. I guess everyone Internet shops these days ... but I'll just keep on with my old fashioned button-hunt!

for some reason this makes me think of a boutonierre? Most of the roses are done here now but I just had a red one pop out of its bud this past weekend... so they persist!

The Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus) also known as Bachelor's button, Basket flower, and Boutonniere flower is a small annual flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to Europe.
There is a manufacturer's name on this sheet, but it is much too faint to be read. The only other markings are "W.ND. 3" and "S.R. CO 9."
