If you've never been to Coyote Buttes South, you should definitely check it out. Here's a shot showing many of the stripes, towers, and formations you can see. Photographic opportunities are endless and you'll hardly see anyone else. On our outing yesterday, there were only 2 other folks there besides our group!

A photo of the north and south Chimney Rocks photographed from Firehole Canyon in the far northeastern shore of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Located in southern Wyoming, this remote location has a small campground and boat ramp. Mobile photo.

I visited Great Brook Farm while in the Carlisle area today, where these to calves were playing. They'll be providing milk soon for the farm's delicious ice cream.

I was fortunate to visit this place again.

Awesome Google ad Katia got in Gmail a few minutes ago. (I assure you, she wasn't writing an email about butts or paste or butt paste.)

Butt Seriously, Madison is the brain child behind this, as I have been informed, new Christmas tradition of wearing matching pj's. What the heck. Why not. Share the love everyone. B

Not the weather for being out looking for insects, or anything else, so an image from earlier in the week.

Photographed June 3, 2015 at the Pawnee Buttes, located within the Pawnee National Grassland in the northeast corner of Weld County, Colorado, approximately 13 miles south of the Wyoming border. The Buttes rise approximately 300 feet above the prairie, making them a predominant and beautiful geologic feature within the Pawnee National Grassland. It was a beautiful day for a visit--sunny and about 75 deg. F--and the prairie was a bright green from lots of April-May rain.

Equipment used: Sony Alpha A-58 with Sony AF DT 18-70mm lens on tripod.

Vermillion Cliffs National Monument - one could spend days at Coyote Buttes South, the "consolation prize" for those unsuccessful in the lottery for the "Wave" (Coyote Buttes North). The whole area is stunning.

We had a great time on our Coyote Buttes Workshop this past week. Not only did we see some spectacular scenery, but we were treated to great sunrises & sunsets each day we went out! That almost never happens. Here's a shot of one of the workshop participants near the Wave in North Coyote Buttes. The reflected light and color in this channel definitely doesn't look real, but if you've been here, you know how amazing can be at the right time of day.
