Last year Volvo Bus & Coach revealed that they received an Order from Lothian Buses for 20 Euro 6 hybrid single deck 7900H buses, following there their successful introduction of ten similar vehicles earlier in the year on Service 1 from Clermiston to Easter Road
These Vehicles which are to be Delivered over the Summer are now starting to be parked up in Volvo Bus and Truck Centre on Crowther Industrial Estate in Washington, North East England. Currently there are Six Vehicles in Total at Volvo ready to make the Trip to Edinburgh.
It is certainly a nice feeling knowing the Majority, if not all of these Vehicles spent some time in the North East, no doubt I will be up in Edinburgh in coming months to Photograph these Great Buses.
As part of Go North Easts 2014/15 Fleet Order, Go North East have purchased Four Volvo B9TL Wright Gemini 2s from Remaining Dealer Stock, Since arriving they have all been painted Red for the Red Kite Service 47, formerly ToonLink and due to enter Service in the coming weeks.
Here we have Mercedes Citaro Artic (5348 BP57 UYL) on Service X66 to Intu MetroCentre, it is seen pulling in alongside it's possible Predecessor on the X66, in the form of Euro VI Specification Mercedes Citaro (9120 BP14 FJZ) which is been used for Demonstration Purposes on the Service.
Go North East has Required this Volvo B5TL Wright Gemini 3 and has been given Fleet Number 9131 and will be used on Toon Link Services 11/31/32 and 47 along with Pronto Service X21 over the Next Month for Demonstration Purposes, This Vehicle was Previously with Lothian Buses as there 286 and Operated on Service 27 for 3 Months, Since then Lothian have Ordered 25 Volvo B5TL's which enter Service Later in the Year.
Now onto Today, Well Photographing 9131(286) was a Total Shambles.
It all started off as I was coming into Newcastle on the X1 for 10:20am and I literally just missed it on the 47 by mere Mintues.
I then got the 10 which pulled out 2 Minutes Later to Blaydon in hope that i'd beat it there, I then Stood in Blaydon for 35 Minutes before deciding to get on the 32 back over to Newcastle, Where upon my Arrival the same occurrence happened again as I was coming into Eldon Square, I then hung around Eldon Square/Haymarket for 2 Hours waiting for it to come back from Blackhall Mill on the 11,
I did eventually Manage to get a few Photos at the Top and Bottom of Eldon Square before it was taken out of service, which I was guttered about as I really wanted to have a Ride on it.
About an Hour Later it reappeared when I was over The MetroCentre heading to Blackhall Mill on the 47, where Myself and a few other Enthusiasts stood and took Photos as 9131(286) was coming out.
This isn't first time I have had problems with this Vehicle, as when I went to Edinburgh back in April, it had Broke Down on the Morning on Service 27, I then seen it at around 3pm heading up The Mound towards Hunters Tryst so as I really wanted a few Photos I opted to stay at The Mound and wait just over an Hour for it to come back,
You could say I no luck with 9131(286) Whatsoever.

The Description says it all, here we see Go North East, Sunderland Connect Optare Solo SR Hybrid (640 NK62 DWY) on Service 700 to Roker Beach in Sunderland.
From this Point I then continued my Trip along the Coast to South Shields, where I got on the Shields Ferry to North Shields, Making a Short Stop in North Shields before heading further along the Coast to Tynemouth.
We end the Day with a Series of Photographs in Newcastle City Centre before heading back Home.

Go North East are rumoured to have acquired 21 Scania Omnidekkas from Brighton & Hove following Service Changes in Brighton, and the Introduction of New Wright StreetDecks on Service 12.
The first 4 to Arrive at Go North Easts Saltmeadows Road Depot are:
607 (GX03 SUH) now Fleetnumbered 6123.
608 (GX03 SUU) now Fleetnumbered 6124.
609 (GX03 SUV) now Fleetnumbered 6125.
612 (GX03 SVC) now Fleetnumbered 6128.
The first of which came out of the Paintshop this afternoon in Red.
Here we are at Go North East's Riverside Depot for a Usual Photo which sees Several of Go North East's Driver Training Vehicles lined up Together in there New Driving Training Livery, with the Exception of one Vehicle which of course is the Odd One Out.

Following on from it's 1 Week Trial at Go North East's Riverside Depot on Service X66 between Gateshead and Intu MetroCentre, (9120 BP14 FJZ) a Mercedes Citaro K (Euro VI Demonstrator) has moved to Go North East's Stanley Depot, where it'll undergo a 2 Week Trial on Lime Services 8/78 which connect Sunderland with Washington, Chester le Street, Stanley and Consett.

Following on from it's Loan from Deptford to Riverside, 5375 has Transferred to Stanley for Demonstration on the Lime Services 8 and 78, which operate between Sunderland - Washington Galleries - Chester le Street - Stanley and Consett, This has in turn allowed the Euro 6 Mercedes Citaro (9120) to return to Riverside.
The Lime Services have been rumored to be getting New Vehicles as part of this Years Investment into the Go North East Fleet.
As part of Go North Easts 2014/15 Vehicle Order, Go North East have invested approximately £2,500,000 on 15 Wright Streetlite Micro-Hybrids for Lime Services 8/78, which in turn will be Re-Branded "Coast & Country" and will be Fleet Numbered 5395 to 5409.
5395 to 5401 will be based at Stanley Depot and 5402 to 5409 will be based at Chester le Street Depot..
These Vehicles feature full white LED destination display. The interior specification for this batch of vehicles feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather, two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring, and blue accent lighting which is fitted underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway.
Services 8/78 Operate at a Combined Frequency of Every 15 Minutes from Consett to Sunderland
Service 8 Operates the following route Stanley - Beamish - Pelton - Chester-le-Street - Washington - Waterview Park - Enterprise Park - Hylton Riverside Retail Park - Sunderland
Service 78 Operates the following route Consett - Leadgate - Greencroft - Annfield Plain - Stanley - Pelton - Chester-le-Street - Great Lumley - Shiney Row - Hastings Hill - Chester Road - Sunderland
These Vehicles are in the Process of being delivered from Wrightbus to Saltmeadows Road Depot, where they will be prepped for Service and will Enter Service in the coming weeks.
