I personally know nothing about Haggis but once while in Edinburgh had a portion to try and I did enjoy it.
Field burn. It's a tightly controlled burn by farmers. The ash from the burn will fertilize the ground.
This field burn lasted only about 15-20 minutes. It goes fast I guess it creates some kind of firestorm. The farmers start the fire all around the field and then it burns towards the center of the field and burns itself out.

A burnt patch of grass and leaves, seen in an urban park after a controlled burn. Prior to European settlement, controlled burns were used by Indigenous Peoples to manage and maintain this fire-dependent ecosystem. Fire-dependant ecosystems like black oak savannahs, contain prairie plants that respond positively to prescribed burning and grow more vigorously than they would in the absence of fire.

I had an opportunity to be an observer of a Prescribed Burn training exercise. Many agencies took part in this event, with more than 100 people present. This young man participated along with other Native Americans in a ceremony and small test burn.

Here's one of the three finished works. This is a panorama made out of about 100 different images in this magical place in New Zealand. If you've watched the four videos we made for Passport subscribers, then you can see everything that happened! Helicoptering in, me forgetting the overnight tents on the glacier, etc etc.
To give it a sense of size, my son, who is 6'3″ is standing under the waterfall on the left. See him? He's wearing a red top.
