Bully je malá osada, ktorá patrí do obce Donovaly a je vzdialená od Banskej Bystrice 25 km. Osada Bully ako aj susedná osada Polianka sú vychodiskové body na pešie túry do Nízkych Tatier a Starohorských vrchov. V okolí oboch osád sa nachádzajú trate pre bežecké lyžovanie.

The You Will Rise Project and Columbus College of Art and Design invite you to a powerful exhibition about bullying. CCAD student mentors worked one-on-one with high school students from Arts & College Preparatory Academy, inspiring them to create raw, uncensored works about their experiences with bullying. The resulting collection, including collaborative installation pieces and individual creations, will be presented in a multi-media exhibition at CCAD that is open to the public. County Commissioner Marilyn Brown will be a featured speaker at the reception. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend.

Bullying is a big problem that affects various kids and 3/4th off all kids say they have been bullied or teased. Being bullied can make the kids feel bad, and the stress of dealing with it can make them feel sick. Bullying has become a hot topic in recent years, in part because we’ve come to realize that the ability to harm a person’s social relationships and social “standing”—usually through the manipulation of others—can be every bit as devastating to the victim as “old-fashioned” physical bullying. We will explore the nature of bullies and victims, in both the physical and social sense, and the possible long-term consequences of such bullying for both the perpetrator and the picked upon. We will also talk about what can be done to help.
My thanks to a couple of Pros for the suggested names. Mystery Bully Bee may be a Wool Carder Bee or Leafcutting Bee or Anthidium manicatum. Does anyone know the name of this 'bee' or insect? Several of these unknown 'bees' would chase other pollinators away from the flowers. They appear to be very territorial. After a three day rain they were gone and many of the normal pollinators returned. Do you know what insect they are? Macro photo taken with a VLUU L200 / Samsung L200. Late summer 2008.
