I hope I am not boring you with hummingbird images from my garden. It's such a joy to see them drinking from my feeders, eating small insects in flight, or picking spiders out of their webs. I wish they didn't fight as much as they do. I had no idea hummingbirds can be so aggressive and territorial. ʘ‿ʘ

This particular little one that I often encounter is a bully; she absolutely won't allow anybody near the feeders. I believe she has her own nest, and she takes the protection of her breeding and feeding territory very seriously. She would make disproportionately loud noises, warning visiting hummingbirds that the feeders and territory are taken. And she dives at, attacks, and chases off incoming hummingbirds. One feeder all to herself was not enough, she didn't let anybody near the second blue glass feeder as well.

I had no choice but to add more feeders so she won't fight. I just installed them this morning. Let's wait and see how this goes.

I watched this Mockingbird harass this Hawk for several minutes before the Hawk finally left his perch. The Mockingbird is relentless whenever another bird gets on this pole. He is our resident bully!

This is Mr. Bully, an aggressive Robin. He bullies all the little birds driving them off the bird table, even the blackbird gets pushed off but then he came up against the squirrel who was having none of it! Always good to see a bully getting a taste of their own medicine 😄
