This window framing was not designed like this. It appears to be a horrendous modification of construction not intended for this. It does not even remotely resemble the approved plans.

On a typical day, people with ambulatory disabilities using Wentworth Institute of technology's Beatty hall have to pass through this obstructed Service Hallway when going from the Upper floor resources (such as the Library, Classrooms and lecture halls) to the Ground Floor resources (bookstore, Vending Machines, Fitness Center, Cafe), because they must use the Service elevator and quote, Accessible entrance unquote, just to use Beatty hall. Both the entrance and elevator are located just beyond this hallway.
The types of moving obstacles that wheelchair users, cane users, service dog users must contend with, here at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, are unbelievable, in the 21st century.
It's not a leap to assume that WIT does not yet wish to integrate colleagues and scholars with disAbilities into their campus life...
