American Lutheran Church Mission Builders constructing St. Mark Lutheran Church, Olathe, Kansas, 1950.

The first team of Mission Builders for home mission work was modeled on a team sent to New Guinea to rebuild after World War II. Through the Board of American Missions and the Luther League, six young men donated their services for one year without wages to help construct four congregation buildings. Those congregations were scheduled for September-November, 1949 in Winterset, Iowa; December 1949-February 1950 in Phoenix, Arizona; March-May 1950 in Olathe, Kansas; and June-August 1950 in Royal Oak, Michigan. The six individuals were Marvin and Raymond Brandt from Defiance, Ohio; Emory Knitt from Clintonville, Wisconsin; Gerald Schroth from Butler, Pennsylvania; Ralph Grummert from Jansen, Nebraska; and William Brandt from Sheridan, Oregon.

Most people in Cranleigh dream of either owning a home or having their dream home built from scratch. Meanwhile, others can save up for years to remodel their existing homes. These are just some of the several instances where you might need to hire a team of builders Cranleigh wide.

Cranleigh, being one of the largest villages in England, is a popular destination for individuals looking to settle down in the countryside. The move far from the manic hustle and bustle of city life often entails buying or building a home. This is the reason why several construction teams and builders in Cranleigh based are readily available. But these teams don’t just serve those looking for new luxury houses. If you’re someone considering the remodelling of your existing home, whether it’s kitchen renovations or loft conversions, then you could benefit from having expert builders on board.

Another good reason to hire builders Cranleigh wide is when you need extensive groundwork done for your forever home. Groundwork can entail but is not limited to drainage, concreting, foundations, and patios. From small scale to larger projects, simply hire a reputable construction team and watch the magic happen!

The presentation of this booth wasn't anything spectacular, no big metal frames with their banner or logos, half naked women, nothing really to draw your attention from a distance. The booth didn't need a whole lot to pull in attention, the cars he built drew in a crowd, like they say "Let the work speak for itself"

After I saw this booth, I figured it was a person with a passion of building cars and applying his craft and creativity to these Corvettes.

I approached his booth for the purpose of getting to know the designer and hearing his story.

I spoke to Melissa majority of the time because Ivan was busy tending the cars and guests. Although it wasn't exactly the person I wanted to speak to, I learned a lot from speaking to Melissa.

They have been together for years and from what she explained if I remember correctly, they've been in several ventures together throughout their life but Building cars and designing is something they will always have a place in their heart for.

The Corvettes pictured here are his clients cars that he built but Ivan plans on getting his own Corvette soon and a Mustang, not sure what year or model but I can imagine it will be put together nicely based off what he's done for his clients.

I will be speaking to Ivan and Melissa again sometime in the future.

The story I would like to share with the world are the brains and mind behind these builds, what it took them to get to where they are now, how'd it all start, what chain of events brought them to present day.

There's so much I would like to know.. Stories from other peoples experiences help me understand myself and the people around me better.

The NRHS convention is over and I begin my trip back to SoCal by way of the Empire Builder to Seattle.

The westbound empire builder heads west through the countryside east of Wyocena, Wisconsin with AMTK 200 and 503 for power.

This would turn out to be my last good shot of the day. I waited around for a 281 I knew was about 30 minutes behind Amtrak. I set up at this same location when I heard a horn at the crossing just to the east. So I hopped out of the car and waited. And waited, and waited. Okay, so something's wrong. As I got back in the problem became apparent - 281 had lost it's air, and right in the way of a late #8 no less. With the sun soon to sink behind some clouds and no sign of a solution to the air problems in sight, I called it a day.
