A bug landed on my jacket.

This fearsome looking insect I spotted while walking along a woodland path, The orange spot on its back and the pattern along it;'s side seems to suggest a forest bug after looking in my insect book. Again confirmation would be welcomed.

Flames all around...lol...Like a bug is going to go fast enough for flames. The other side had something diffferent, but, very busy street with daughter. so, I didn't get that one.

I had no idea what this insect was when I took the photo, it was only after I got back to the office that I discovered it was an assassin bug waiting...

This huge bug has been in my garage, right next to my driver's side door for a few weeks now. The only reason i haven't moved it is because I don't want to have to touch it. I mean, come on, the thing is bigger than my big toe.

The columbine (aquilegia) have returned to my garden, which pleases me. This might be brown-marmorated stink bug, early instar, which would not please me.

Horned Coreid Bug (??? ???), Albany Creek, QLD

First shots with a new MP-E 65mm 1-5x macro lens and MR-14EX ring flash.

I am trying out some new macro lenses and fear that I need to use a tripod for extra clarity. My steadiness is not as good as it used to be. It's a "bug eat bug" world.

This is Bug, a 1 year old male Short Coat Chihuahua mix.

 

I volunteered at PAWS Atlanta. I took photos of some of the dogs and cats that need homes. I thought I'd also remind people you can find great pets at shelters and in rescue groups. And of course, help control the pet population, please spay and neuter your pets!!
