LWT macro bugs 01.06.22

A Hawthorn Shield Bug (Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale) among the leaves on a small beech hedge at the bottom of my garden. Quite difficult to photograph as it either kept disappearing behind the leaves or the leaves were being blown around too much in the wind. Also spotted a Green Shield Bug nearby but impossible to photograph before it flew off

i found this lil critter on the window sill at work. sadly, he is dead, but his body is in the most excellent condition. finally, a cute dead bug to add to my collection.

Eeeeek! These finally arrived in my mail delivery today. I bought them from a lady on etsy amonth ago and they had to travel all the way to the US from Ukraine and still made it in time for Christmas. The red one will be a fun surprise in my husband's stocking this year...no more scratches on the iphone!

This is our Bugs Away soap. It is an insect repellent, in the shape of a caterpillar. It smells of citronella.

Bugs snuggle close together on this plant. I'm not sure what the plant is or what the bugs are, but the shot was taken in October in Athens, Ohio.
