We are moving toward Yucatan.
Mexico road trip by three Goldwings in 2004. From Albuquerque to Yucatan for over 6000 miles.
Not too bad according they was taken with a broken camera so everything was guess work as I couldn't see the photo I was taking or the camera settings
Maya city of Chichen Itza. This was the huge water hole known as a cenoté where indians use to commit suicide by jumping in and sometimes they use to throw young woman in the cenoté as a sacrifice to the Gods.
In the wells around Chichén Itzá have been found scores of skeletons. Mayan petroglyphs depict human sacrifices at these sites. What lies under this Cenoté is not known, no one has ever been able to reach it's depths.
This was a trash can in the middle of the desert near cabeson. This was taken on a ride to Cabezon, New Mexico.

It is estimated that as many as 5,000 people lived in Chaco Canyon at one point. The people farmed the lowlands, built multistory stone and mud buildings, and traded as far south as Mexico.
