I wanted an awesomely detailed face shot. The beetle had other ideas. Well at least it is still detailed.

I watched a video that said to use a flash outdoors when you photograph flowers. So, I tried it with one of my prime lenses and sure enough, it works pretty good. However, not so good with yellow flowers. In fact, the yellow wild flowers were hard to photograph period. The bug, don't know what kind, was a bonus. I didn't see him until I processed the image..:)

Shield Bugs are not my thing. Can anyone give me an ID on this on please. My garden today.

so difficult to recall all these bugs' names but i'm sure i've posted something similar before. so alien looking! wouldn't like to be bitten by those nasty looking mandibles!

Think the ID is correct but if anybody thinks different I would be very glad to know as I am a very amateurish bug detector

Bugs Bunny is an animated cartoon character, created in the late 1930s

Bugs Bunny is an anthropomorphic gray and white hare or rabbit who is famous for his flippant, insouciant personality. He is also characterized by a Brooklyn accent, his portrayal as a trickster, and his catch phrase "Eh... What's up, doc?" Due to Bugs' popularity during the golden age of American animation, he became an American cultural icon and the official mascot of Warner Bros. Entertainment. Wikipedia

Every morning I look out my windows and I see cute bunnies hoping around, playing, and having fun… They always brighten my morning..

I actually did photograph this bug in our house today. He was a bit smaller than shown here. ;)

The sun has shone in Yorkshire over the past couple of days. The leaves are changing colour and falling, making it much easier to spot bugs. I found two Shieldbugs one morning. ( More than I've found all summer ! ) Both were sunning themselves on autumnal leaves.

This one is a Forest bug but may be Picromerus bidens because of its very pointy ' shoulders '.
