My friends and I saw this strange bug while we were waiting to get on a ride @ Six Flags Great Adventure.
this is the bug splattered view of our entrance to asheville, after our four day trip across the country. it was beautiful but i was partly delirious and didn't care much at the time. thank god for pictures
I spotted this bug on a tree in northwest Washington, DC. I love that his shadow is three times bigger than he is in the afternoon sun. Shot with my Nikon D200 and 105mm micro/macro @ 105mm f/7.1 1/125, handheld with available light.
No idea what this bug was.... it was on my window, and this was its underside. It was about a centimetre long, with a wicked looking stinger - probably more likely to lay eggs somewhere than attack ! Unfortunately it flew away before I got its topside, but it had a body segmented a little like an earwig.

Lady Bug is super with kids with a tendency to be hyper. She is a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix 4 years old and is not current on vax and is not spayed.
All these little green bugs were swarming around the lamp posts all along the walkway of the park. They were borderline disgusting, but intriguing at the same time.
4-H Clover College is a four-day series of hands-on workshops for youth presented by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County. Emphasis is on science, agricultural literacy, healthy living, career development and citizenship/leadership. Many of the projects made during the sessions are eligible to be exhibited at the Lancaster County Super Fair in July.
2021 Clover College featured 48 workshops with 93 youth who participated (varying from 1 to 15 classes each) with a total 627 class registrations. New workshops this year included: “Virtual Reality Building,” “All About DNA,” “Decorative Couching (sewing technique),” “Steak Science,” “On the Bike Path (bicycle safety),” “Derby Cars,” “Pop Can Casting (fishing know-how),” “Loom Weaving,” and “Care Blankets.”
