He flew into my eye. Technically, he jumped into my eye, as he has no wings. And he has a blue feathery tail?!

Here is the trophy for Best Large Battle Bug. It's an adaptation of Nathan Proudlove's design from last year's BrickCon, used with his permission. I wanted to do classic space themes with the trophies, and rather than change the size of the bug on the trophy, change the scale in which the bugs are represented.

The small trophy was minifig, and the medium trophy was micro scale... so I was left contemplating how to shrink the scale even further when it occurred to me to just build a planet and cover it with ants. Then I remembered Nathan's awesome design and asked him if I could adapt it.

The planet looked a little lonely compared to the others, so I added the huge bug devouring it from below. Thanks again Nathan, for permission to adapt your work!

I think it's a mirid bug, perhaps Deraeocoris flavilinea - but the corncockle is amazing at this scale

Just having some fun making bug like things.

I don't know what this bug is and couldn't figure out what was going on. Was this his meal or his mate? An ID would be helpful. Rosa has told me it is a robber fly eating its prey. Oh gross, so it is cannabilism. Believe it or not, I have never seen this fly before.
