I made this, among other things, for my mom's birthday in June. I used a slight variation of not martha's recipe for solid bubble bars (an unabashed Lush rip-off). I used a soap mold for the bar's shape. The packaging design was stolen from Voda Soap, only because I was short on time and an old Voda box was all I had to put the bubble bars in.
There were two bars in the box one stacked on top of the other, each wrapped in plastic wrap since they were being mailed.
My mom loved it, although I never got a report on how well she actually liked the bubble bars in the bath.
A bubble bath (preferably by candle light) is probably one of the best places to be in the world. But you're missing out if you don't have enough bubbles, and there's a definate technique to be learned in order to generate the maxmimum quantity of foamy bubbles. Simply placing your preferred bubbling substance under a tap is not sufficient.
This is an old shot extracted from my blog (thus small size). Incidentally, the colour cordination of the strawberry milkshake was not entirely intentional (although obviously worthy of blog fodder and of a trail of bubbles on the floor to grab my camera). Although I was initially shocked by the pink and gold when I took the flat, it grew upon me, - a little.

And by party I mean "drinks and Pringles." It was our last night at the posher hotel where the conference was held. Earlier that day I took a bubblebath in the big, spotless bathtub. It was all very lux by my standards.
Ooh, this just looks so good. Like bubble gum! Orange bubble gum. Yummy!
