Reflection of the landscape in a bubble gives a fisheye appearance. The colors come from the oils on the bubble surface.
No processing but curves/contrast in Lightroom, this isn't projected with software.

The theme for this week's Macro Monday is bubbles and my intention was to take part in it. But it seems my dog had other ideas :)) By the time I got out my macro lens, the bubbles had dog gone disappeared :)) HMM and thank you for all dear Flickr friends!
Bubbles are created when something positive is happening. People get over-enthusiastic about it and take the tide higher than it should go. The reality is bubbles are required to create change.
Active Assignment Weekly: Shadows
Setup my delious cider before I drank it, dimmed the lights and put one spotlight on the subjects, took quite a few shots before I liked this one..
Processed with February texture from Eva Ricci. Learn more about her Creative Challenge on her blog or on her Flickr Group.
I often adjust light and colours in shots to give a bit more 'punch', but I thought I'd touch base as it were, and just upload this fresh for my 'SOOC Bubbles' set (SOOC = Straight Out Of the Camera = no editing). Not even a crop. One for the purists! For anyone interested in taking bubble shots, you can see here that I underexpose a little to help get some dof (depth of field) on shutter priority.
Something to do on a boring day: put soap in a glass, place a pretty object in the bottom, use the light of the window, hand hold because of the awkward position, then take a lot of shots to get one sharp.

By the way, Lightning in my previous photo was adopted, I'm happy to say.
This is an image from earlier this year that I have re-edited. I used a bubble machine in the garden. The coloured bubbles are the result of reflections from the garden greenery and flowers.

I'm finishing some last photos this evening, from my nephew Adrian's 1st Birthday photo shoot nearly eight months ago. I've had so many other assignments to edit in between that I've partly forgot that there were some left.
But it's fun looking at these cute photos again. Yesterday I photographed an adorable newborn baby girl, but she don't want to be on other media than instagram, so you'll have to follow me there to see her photos when I publish them.

Project 365 // Day 208
Today is one of those days where I pretty much waited until the last minute to shoot my entry for Project 365. While I was brainstorming something to shoot, I noticed that my wife had filled up the sink with water and soap to soak some dishes. I then noticed a very interesting pattern of bubbles building up, so I decided to have some fun with my camera and macro lens. :)
