I haven't been feeling well lately T__T I hope I don't get sick over Christmas break. That would really suck.

Thanks to Ckloy for the dress. (It's actually a blouse, but it's quite long and I'm pretty short so I can wear it as a dress too XD)

Title came from Steve Conte's song "Living Inside the Shell".

I may or may not have gotten overly excited on photoshop...

But the potterhead inside of me has been wanting to do a Patronus charm photo for sooo long, and with this weeks theme I just couldn't resist myself.

But I felt that maybe it was a bit too much and decided to also do a more 'normal' take on the theme.

I've also noticed with this project that I have a strong tendency of harsh dark-light contraposition photos, and I'm still not sure If I like that...

We're two weeks behind on our 52-week projects again. This was supposed to be her Halloween SP. We shot it before Halloween but I didn't have time to edit it until last week, and she didn't send me her title until today.

Abstract brushes came from HERE

Her description:

I wanted to be a bloody ghost this Halloween, but we didn't have time to shoot that so I ended up being a creepy fortune teller instead XD

*Super * belated Happy Halloween everyone! Thanks a lot to my sister for taking my picture and editing it!

Most of the textures I use are my own, but there are a few brushes used here that I fall back on time and time again.

The 'splatters' are from Bittbox, probably the best tutorial blog out there, and full of amazing freebies. You can download the brushset here.

A good source for 'scratches and marks' brushes is misprintedtype.com. Eduardo Recife who runs it is an extremely talented artist, and it is well worth a visit anyway.

The base texture of this is my own, but I have used a secondary paper texture as well, another freebie from Bittbox, and can be found here.

Enjoy!

Holy Roller

(you may have to see it in original size to see the eyes for the first part of the lyric)

Hint: It's from my favorite song of theirs. I didn't even know they sang it until recently because it's totally unlike all their other happy cheery uplifting or serious dramatic stuff.

I wish I actually had a bowling ball. This shot would have been SO much easier!

Thank you dolleee for the mustache!

Popularly known as Arthurian sorceress, benevolent fairy, priestess, dark magician, enchantress, witch, sea goddess, shape-changer, healer, and the sole personage of Avalon the Isle of Apples, not to mention daughter of Ygerna (Igraine) and Gorlois, half-sister to King Arthur, mother of Mordred, lady-in-waiting to Guinevere, wife of Uriens, lover of Sir Accolon, fancier of Sir Lancelot, and 'as fair a lady as any might be'.

In Celtic terms, Morgan (or Morcant) is a man's name. The feminine version is more correctly Morgain (or Morgue or Morgne). She is also named after/for the Morrigan of Irish mythology. According to Celtic tradition the Morrigan (a Triple Goddess of Celtic myth, thought of as the Goddess of Death) flew over battles, shrieking like ravens and claiming dead soldiers' heads as trophies.

By Madison Cawein (1865-1914)

In dim samite was she bedight,

And on her hair a hoop of gold,

Like foxfire, in the tawn moonlight,

Was glimmering cold.

For all her looks were full of spells,

And all her words, of sorcery;

And in some way they seemed to say,

"Oh, come with me!

"Oh, come with me! oh, come with me!

Oh, come with me, my love, Sir Kay!"--

How should he know the witch, I trow,

Morgan le Fay?

How should he know the wily witch,

With sweet white face and raven hair?

Who, through her art, bewitched his heart

And held him there.

Eftsoons his soul had waxed amort

To wold and weald, to slade and stream;

And all he heard was her soft word

As one adream.

And all he saw was her bright eyes,

And her fair face that held him still:

And wild and wan she led him on

O'er vale and hill.

Until at last a castle lay

Beneath the moon, among the trees:

Its gothic towers old and gray

With mysteries.

This is the first time that I can actually put my pictures in both my Makeup and Sanrio sets!

Well, this was a long time coming, but it finally happened. Not exactly how I imagined it, but you can't please everyone. I stayed away from all the eye and cheek products since I had duplicates for them in my collection. But I've been a sucker for lip things lately, so I got Popster TLC, Mimmy Lipglass and Strayin' Lipstick. Not that I needed ANOTHER brushset, but I wanted the cute holder, which was actually much more heavy duty than I thought. Of course, I had to get the plush, and the bracelet. The most exciting part was the free tote bag!

After I left the store, I really regretted not getting the mirror and keychain. Well, V-Day was only 2 days away...
