These effects were created by photographing the metal brush using a vintage Nikkor 50 mm / f1.4 lens that was reverse-mounted on the camera using a reversal ring. The aperture was set to 1.4. Single exposure image.

Burano, Italy - right next to Venice. It has only canals and no cars like Venice, but it has no palaces. The houses are really this colorful. It is a delightful place where handmade lace is one of their principal exports.
The upper hills in Kamloops deliver a plethora of photographic opportunities. The hills make for an excellent backdrop, while the local brush adds a wonderful and unusual foreground. Although the brush may look sturdy, it is fragile and delicate to the touch. The new growth adds an almost mint color to the ends of the brush and also adds in terms of both color and texture.
This sunset shot came after yesterdays post, and had me once again braving the area, after the running freight train of a cow (steer) departed.
The lively and colorful brush in Fish Creek Park contrasts well with the rather still and solid blues in the sky and the water.
Unfortunately we didn't get the light we'd hoped for, but it's not every day that a Class 31, or any loco' hauled train for that matter, traverses the Little North Western line.
