Around 10:30 in the morning on a cloudy Sunday, October 26, 2025, a 28 year-old dash-9 wearing the old "Warbonnet" paint scheme cruises through Bonners Ferry, ID with a train of empty grain hoppers in tow.

Around 10 am on Monday, I saw this osprey landing in a tree across the street, carrying a still-flopping fish. It took over an hour to pick apart its prey, tugging and twisting until it had consumed every last bite. I took many many photos from an upstairs window. These are the best of them.
Very busy Sunday brunchtime (amongst busiest spots I saw open in the West Village.. 'Peruvian spot ' 173 7th Ave South, 10014. Tables set up in the street, allowed for foreseeable future where possible, to make up for bans and limitiations on indoor dining.
3 eggs over easy, hash brown potatoes with mushrooms, onions, green & red peppers, turkey sausage, 7 grain toast.
Contrary to what this looks like ;-) it's a glass of Pomegranate and Elderflower Presse. Too wild and windy to take the camera outside once again today so I took this when we went for a very late breakfast at Cafe Twocann. This was a special treat to make up for the fact that I'd booked myself and a very special old schoolfriend in for Afternoon Tea but had to cancel because her elderly dad passed away a few days ago.
An 'upload and run' shot because me and mine are off to the theatre this evening.
Join us for brunch today 9am-3pm! Bottomless mimosas & bloodys! @rogueisland #arcadeprovidence #beeradvocate #craftnotcrap #rogueisland #brunch #brunchtime #brunchstagram #wave #guacamole #eggs
Yes indeed, it's Hers, that Katydid Nymph is. I can attest to that because as I sat in the shade of a Coconut Palm Tree near this clump of Stachytarpheta indica, Snakeweed, she Pounced as a Jumping Spider will do. I'd been a while watching my Little Green Friend sitting quite calmy on the leaf that became its Bed of Agony. I, too, was startled by that Jump of perhaps 25 cm. Jumper then dragged her catch into the shade of the Snakeweed leaf from whence she'd come forth.
Early morning Monsoon Rain had lifted but there was still a drop or two - there's one behind her left shoulder - that hadn't been dried away by the Sun. So it must've been Brunchtime.
