Good morning, Mr. Wayne. Looking for something new?

The idea for this picture came from a friend who is a Batman fan.

Simple shot and set-up.

Added a few effects but I really didn't wanna go overboard.

Post-Edit - Added rain texture, enhanced the Lens Flare and colour graded.

“I have failed you.... I wish there were another way for me to say it. I cannot. I can only beg your forgiveness, and pray you hear me somehow, someplace... someplace where a warm hand waits for mine. I shall always remember you: surrounded by winter, forever young, forever beautiful. Rest well, my love. The monster who took you from me will soon learn that revenge is a dish best served... COLD.”

Mr Freeze is one of my all time favorite Batman villains! He's got such an interesting history behind him, and Paul Dini's re-imagining of Victor Fries holds some incredible merit, when he re-created such a tragic and beautiful character!

With the recent TLBM armor/helmet piece, I really wanted to do something I hadn't before! With so many great Mr Freeze Lairs here on flickr, inspiration was rich, but ultimately I strived to build my own version of the iconic setting! I suppose if anything, my aesthetic derived from Dustin Nguyen's illustrations of the character, and a little of Tim Lydy's stuff too :)

Really though, the minifig is what started this all off! Using only the finest ingredients, I feel like I've created the ultimate B:TAS Freeze, right down to the Sand-Purple gloves :P

It was key for me to get that figure right before anything else began!

FYI for you purist nuts:

Anyway, I also wanted Batman to have some kind of heated/thermal suit so taking some influence from Dlyan's Telltale Batman from August last year flic.kr/p/KdmCvd I altered the design a bit and put a spin on it! :)

But with that said, Patreon has a whole bunch of extra content, including how I incorporated lighting into the build, obviously a closer look at the build itself, some alternate Batman suit ideas, and some other cool stuff too! A total of 12 images, with one more being uploaded tonight! :)

So go take a look at all that stuff because I don't want to type anything else! :P

And I’m back with another part of my 1930s version of a gothic Batcave.

The Batcomputer was a tricky thing to build, since computers in the 30 were somewhat rare, hahaha.

I based the design on the Mark I , since Batman has always been ahead of the times.

I took the single computer units, put each one in a gothic cabinet and connected them.

My version of the Batcave is rather vertically oriented and as a result, I put the cabinets on top of each other and not just side by side.

In the foreground you can see a punched card writer and behind it a card sorter .

I’ve been quiet for some time, due to some health problems, but mainly due to the fact that I’m working on several projects simultaneously.

At least I finished a part of one of the larger projects. I’m not going to build the whole Batcave in one huge MOC, but decided to create segments, all of them based on the same style.

In my version of the Batcave, I continue the gothic theme that was already part of my Arkham Asylum , which means, that I combined gothic architecture with a typical limestone cave, while all is set in the late 1930s/early 1940s.

This first MOC shows Batman’s and Robin’s costume displays. This is the cave’s upper level. A spiral staircase was built inside the huge stalactite which leads directly to the changing area where Bruce and Dick already left their suits.

“Sooner or later, all who stand in my way... will feel the icy touch of death!”

Woo! My long awaited Mr. Freeze photo shoot is finally here! If you just can't wait any longer, you can see all of the content on Patreon! That stuff is being uploaded everyday from now til Monday!

There's a fantastic MOC of his lair built around him, and some really great atmospheric lighting and composition work, which was so much fun to create! There's about 12 different images in total! :)

You can see it now, plus additional BTS stuff related to this upcoming build, plus access to all my past WIP posts over there!

Remember, it's pay what you want, if you only have a dollar to spare that's okay, if you don't that's okay too, but anything helps to keep this page going :)

So what are you waiting for?! :P

“Well Bruce, it’s OK if I call you Bruce, right? You know what they say. If you have to ask, you can’t afford it!”

We all know, the Caped Crusader is a huge car guy. So, it was no surprise when he took a liking to Shiro Maki’s Tortoise. As soon as the car pulled up in front of stately Wayne Manor, Bruce got so excited, he forgot to change out of the Bat Costume.

Had this idea cooking in my head around the time Detective #1000 came out but I just couldn’t quite fit it into the schedule because of SHAZAM coming out around the same time. Honestly, I was just messing around with figures (like my newest Nightwing fig from Giovani Customs/MinifigMadness) instead of sorting or editing or doing anything actually productive... and this is what I came up with! Two different vague iterations of Batman’s history based on his ridiculous fashion choices.

Patreon has some bonus content as well, like the lighting and the build/set-up for both of these independent photoshoots!

Other than that, I’m just gonna keep it short and to the point today :P

Apparently someone built a real version of the Batmobile from one of the Animated Series. I found the pic and used it as a referene for this drawing.

Today is Batman Day, as my old friend Dave Kaleta reminded me. Since it was already late afternoon here in Germany, I had to come up with something to build real quick.

The toilet is the 3rd build from my 1930s Batcave series and even Batman needs a smallest room in his hideout.

Happy Batman Day everybody.

So I built the 1989 Batmobile over the course of the last seven or eight months and shared my work in progress as I worked through it with all my Patrons! It was a blast to share it as it was developed!

A huge inspiration goes out to Pat Lacroix here on flickr for his super neat Christmas Batmobile, as well as inspiration from the Lego Batman 3 digital model, as well as some others around the community that I based mine around! But seriously, great work on that design Pat! :)

If you want to see how mine all came together a step at a time, check out the 1989 Batman tag on my Patreon! Link in the bio!

Lego Batman Series

Part 1/10

Hello people! The first part of my Batman build series is finally out. To start it off is the iconic origin story of Batman where Martha and Thomas Wayne are murdered in an alley by Joe Chill.

Each entry will be about the same size. Some a little bigger and some smaller.

I hope you enjoy!

Spring Gardens, Manchester

Where Batman stays when he comes to town.

The Dark Knight Rises!

There’s always something going on at Dundas Square and on this particular day, the Batmobile took centre stage. What an awesome mechanical creation, especially designed for the king of crime fighters and on display just in time for the latest installment of The Dark Knight series. It certainly attracted a crowd.

The specs are impressive. Designed and built by renowned fabricator George Barris, it features a custom crafted body, bullet proof glass, six monster tires and every imaginable gizmo under the sun to assure that all obstacles are overcome and Batman arrives at his destination to apprehend the bad guys. Cool!

…as Boy Wonder would say in the original TV series; “holy transportation Batman”. ha!

Managed to capture the Kindle better than anticipated. Thought that I'd share this.

The collaboration of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee is excellent.

The epic crime thriller that rejuvenated The Caped Crusader is now available in one place as a trade paperback! In this story of murder, mystery and romance, Batman sets out on a simple mission to discover the identity of the mysterious villain wreaking havoc in his life known as Hush. But Batman ends up facing possibly the most intense case of his life as secrets from his past flood into the present, and the most notorious villains to ever haunt Gotham City's street attack simultaneously! Guest-starring The Dark Knight's greatest allies and enemies, this collection features BATMAN # 608-619 as well as the 6-page segment from Wizard # and a 2-page origin story that originally appeared at dccomics.com. From best-selling writer Jeph Loeb (SUPERMAN/BATMAN, TV's Heroes) and superstar artist Jim Lee (SUPERMAN, X-Men) comes the long-awaited collection!

"Bats frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread."

Alright, so 2015 has been an interesting year for me in the world of Lego. I've had a bunch of projects that haven't quite panned out like I would have liked, either in the form of photo execution, and or post production disappointments.

These two were built early in the year with the intentions of building a Wayne Manor Party that get's crashed by the Joker. I had some really great photo ideas but the MOC never quite got off the ground. Now strangely enough, this has been a very good year for failed photoshoots so I thought to myself, hey, why don't I just post that crap anyway?

So I'm thinking over the next few months as I pick up my 2016 sets and start dabbling a bit, I should share some of these ideas in some capacity, Maybe start a scrap album of all of them if you guys would be interested?

We'll see if I've got the nerve to post some :P

"There is a storm coming Mr. Wayne… You and your friends better batten down the hatches. Cause when it hits, you’re all going to wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us…"

- Selina Kyle

I have built (a part of) Wayne Manor. I wanted to show how the rich Bruce Wayne lives over the well known bat cave. Round about 150.000 parts were used for this moc, mainly small bricks and plates - and over 10.000 jumper plates 1x2 and 2x2 in almost all colours.

More minfigures than usually were at Wayne Manor. There was an costume party, but the Joker invited himself and Bruce Wayne could not become the Dark Knight. So the rest of the bat family hat to solve the problem ...

How could I pick up those two 1989 figs and not build some of the other Burton Bat-Characters?

So. Much. Black.
