Whilst browsing a Canon forum last night, I stumbled on a picture very similar to this....so I thought, I can do that!! A self portrait reflected in the ball of a ball point pen! I had to pull all the stops out for this one. 100mm macro lens set to minimum distance, a reversed 50mm taped to the front of it.....and between the lenses and the camera body, a full set of extension tubes! I admit this is HEAVILY cropped, but I've uploaded the original and a picture of the setup.
A snap of my family in on holliday in France this year. 3 exposures taken from 1 raw file, One at +2 and one at -2 and the original. Taken with canon g11.

I like this picture so much I have it as my Windows wallpaper, and also one of the randomly selected backgrounds for my website.
Today they colluded and managed to confuse me for a moment or two. :)

I spent a short amount of time with Caitlin in the late 90's. This is the only picture I ever took of her. I found out about her death (car accident) while browsing information on my high school graduating class (Dennis-Yarmouth High School 1997).
Nile River, Esna, Egypt -- Vendors and merchants in small boats crowd around cruise ships stopping at Esna, where the ships must wait in turn to pass through the locks at the dam there. Vendors in small boats at Esna throw their goods to passengers aboard ships, who then shout negotiations and either return the goods or throw back the money. The vendors are not permitted aboard the ships, and the ship crews work to prevent any boats from tying up to the ships. (C) Rick Collier / RickCollier.com / thePhotoTourist.com.
