While I was looking for a place selling bread, I came across this place called 'Brood', or 'Bread' in Dutch. They served proper bread and I would certainly like to go back when I'm around.

Day 2: McKenzie Bridge to Redmond via Santiam Pass. McKenzie Pass was still closed due to snow, so we had to use the longer but lower Santiam Pass alternate route. The ride was still exhilarating and beautiful; my first time over a mountain range! We bombed down the east side of the Cascades into pine forest and the town of Sisters, then into Oregon high desert scrubland. We ended the day in the town of Redmond, tired as hell (as we rode 70 miles!) and stayed with Kiran's friends.

This shot is looking towards the Coromandel Ranges. The weather forecast indicated we were in for a lot of rain overnight. But we woke to a beautiful day and only a small amount of rain overnight.
