Tyranid Brood Lord from the Space Hulk Box Set/Game. I added some diamond plate to the base to keep with metal hulk feel. Also added some sticky gore to his claws and the skulls.
ex Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm BAe Sea Harrier F/A2's (Shars) ZH800/123 & ZH801/000
Strangely ZH800 is painted as 'ZH801' and ZH801 is painted as 'ZH800'!!
(All to do with the 800 and 801 Squadron colours - it was simpler to swap the serials!)
RNAS Yeovilton Air Day 09/07/2011
How sad that these were 'roaded' in by truck from RAF Cottesmore for the event!
I believe they subsequently appeared at the 'Families' Day' at RAF Valley too!

As anyone with a discerning eye will see, this is a composite of two images. The range of tones in the sky and the Angel was captured in Camera RAW format, but a single JPEG was unable to show them so I extracted two versions of the image as JPEGs and then added the sky from the darker one to the lighter one.
Unfortunately, I couldn't work out a way to do this seamlessly in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4, so you can see the join. I know this is to do with adjustment layers etc, but Elements isn't as flexible as the full Photoshop. If anyone has any advice on how to do this better, I would be grateful for it: the accounts I've read on the web are impossible to reproduce in my version of Photoshop.

4X6 canvas mixed media.....collaged a figure from a magazine and painted over it.....the river is coming up fast, doing some quickie little art to keep my mind busy....
Sometimes it's hard to come up with a picture of the day. This is not it, but I have a print of this picture next to the computer and I just felt like him yesterday!
From Bronx Zoo 2001
Taken in 2004.
This somewhat brooding figure carries a rifle but his downcast face gives him the air of defeat. Seen on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Another photograph of the nest under one of our hall windows. Here, the female is brooding her now quite large chicks on a cold afternoon. You can just see an eye and beak of one chick that is peeping out at the front of the nest. It is amazing how quickly they develop at this stage.

Contentedly brooding, Ms Duck is completely unaware that she is about to be rudely evicted from her nest by Ms Chicken...
"But the moon came slowly up in all her gentle glory, and the stars looked out, and through the small compass of the grated window, as through the narrow crevice of one good deed in a murky life of guilt, the face of Heaven shone bright and merciful."
~ Charles Dickens [Barnaby Rudge]
