I had just had a nice walk in the woods and this building was close by...
There was something about the colours and the greenery growing around the broken window that caught my interest!
A 1947 GMC COE, originally used by A.J. Salvage out the town of The Pas in northern Manitoba... And it still has the old shortened phone number on the side... I just love patina like that...
I had the privilege today to view a small private collection of trucks, hidden away right here in Calgary! Bill collects trucks, preferably COE designs... Thanks to my friend John for pointing me in the right direction, and fortunately the owner arrived at the storage yard at the same time I was there allowing me access to take a closer look

Now I am officially caught up :) Only to be reminded after this weekend that I need to post some more...
I'm not sure what this is but it's rusty and cool! I think it may be a gear shifter to a bike? I know it's something Schwinn...just not sure what.
Off to shower and then head out on the highway to Helena!! Woohoo! Me and three other girls will have an awesome time, hope you all do as well! <3
Istanbul, June 8th 2016, the day after a car bomb took the lives of 11 people and left many shopkeepers recovering from the blast. It so happened I was staying in a hotel in the same street.
There's this church I've been wanting to explore for a while, and I went on a little scouting mission there on Wednesday. Unfortunately, there wasn't an easy route in--best I found was this window, and it'd require a ladder to get up and another ladder to get back down and probably isn't really worth the effort. I'll just wait for some damn punk kids to break in there and follow whatever easy route they make for themselves, I suppose.
Some days when I'm really tired and stressed, I crash. This usually results in a disaster in my head while I'm unconscious. I've had dozens of apocalyptic and dystopian dreams, as well as dreams where I wake up and there's only a few people remaining. In these dreams, there is always a feeling of searching for something that's unrequited. I get so lost in trying to find some type of order in all this chaos, and then I wake up. I always have to tell myself; "It was just a dream."
This image was taken downtown Portland, with an ISO of 200 and aperture of 22. The editing process for this was very different for me, and this was the most photoshop I have ever used. There are monochromatic colors throughout the image, and it's balanced with lines and depth.

30 January 2013. I borrowed a mobile phone to report this smashed window frame and other dumping. It was collected quickly by Veolia, Haringey Council's waste contractors.
I stressing the danger of the jagged shards for a small child; or an animal.
It was in Blackboy Lane, near Chestnuts Park, Tottenham London N15.
George Redgrave posted a comment that "neglect breeds vandalism". Which reminded me about the Broken Windows Theory put forward over thirty years ago by George L. Kelling and James Q. Wilson.
Their insightful article is available online : Broken Windows; The police and neighborhood safety.
Every local councillor should read it. Most won't.
