Or should that be Bell-ends Broadcasting Crap because if there's one thing that makes my blood BOIL it's when these bastards announce 'in a change to some listings...' before they show something you don't necessarily want to fucking watch all because it suits THEM. I'm talking about that humungous waste of airtime (not to mention the licence fee), fucking Wimbledon.
It's bad enough putting TOTP on twice a week without this happening to the chart show whose heyday I reckon was the 1970s. Without any word of warning, TOTP was substituted for the fucking tennis and that meant I watched only half of What Britain Buys on Channel 4.
The BBC are also hypocrites as well, with I would say the same number of faces as Edge Hill station clock but they're twice as bad. Five years ago, they removed an appearance of Jonathan King from a 1976 edition of TOTP, only to apologise afterwards, saying it wasn't their intention to airbrush history!
Yeah right! If that's not their intention then I'm Lord fucking Reith because I would say that dropping both DLT and Savile is pretty MUCH airbrushing history.
When they're not chopping and changing the schedule or taking fucking liberties with TOTP by not waiting until next year to start the 1982 editions then the BBC's fucking lying to use about not paying the tv licence. You know those detector vans that prowl the streets? Well, guess what, they haven't resulted in a single fucking conviction for non-payment! Get on to this, they won't even tell some journo how many detector vans are deployed, the jammy bastards.
But if I were to rip my BBC publications up in disgust, I'd be a fucking bell-end because, apart from Dad's Army (which has been done to fucking death) you can't fault the programmes they put out years ago. Compared with the shite that's on now (with some exceptions) it was quality programmes back then.
If I was ever in the position of being able to build my own home, the material of choice would almost certainly be portland stone. It might even be the same design as this place, with studios and a reception desk and everything.
