There were two lights shining onto a disco ball which then reflected shapes onto the path. The surrounding trees were lit up with blue and purple lights which created some lovely tones and shadows.

Shooting into the low evening sun with sunset in 1.5 hours produced hundreds of sunstars in the rippled water that surrounded the silhouettes of two mallard ducks (Anas platyrhynchos, Anatidae).

The theme for “Looking Close on Friday” for the 2nd of December is “food in backlight”. There are two requirements for this challenge: the image has to be a macro shot of food and it has to be taken with backlight. I love gin and tonic, and one of my very dear friends sent me a special birthday gift from a gin distillery for my birthday. The pack included some thin dried orange slices. I decided that one of these slices would be perfect for the theme. When I photographed it against the backlight of one of my round Art Deco lamps the pattern and colour made me think of a flower, and thus the title for today’s image. I do hope you like my choice for today’s theme, and that it makes you smile.
The house was lit up with pink and purple lights in the shape of snowflakes and a big 'Merry Christmas'. In front, the fountains were lit with a bright, vivid colour and the laburnum arch was turned into a magical tunnel of lights. I liked this scene and have tried to show everything. The problem was that there were so many people I had to stand right back to avoid getting in everyone's way which meant that the scene I wanted to show looks too small in the photograph! This had been cropped as much as I dare so there isn't much detail unfortunately.

Pont y Ddraig (Dragon's Bridge) provides the final link in 15 miles (24km) of traffic-free cycling across Conwy and Denbighshire.
There are two sections of deck which lift up, with the underside lit up with lights that change from green to red and back.
Pont y Ddraig was opened in October 2013 at a cost of £4.3m.

This is a glowing reminder of the pleasant, warm sunny days of summer on Mission Point, near Traverse City, Michigan.
Cherries are still iconic in this area of Northwest Michigan, though many of the cherry orchards have been replaced by vinyards.
Beautiful Scenery on a warm Summertime Evening !

Here is another POV to a scene i already shot ! Sometimes the tiny little people have to use special places and special light to be able to read quietly their newspaper. Wonder if this is good for their eyes :)

I caught the sun shining through one of the windows in the lantern on the top floor of the little castle at Bolsover Castle and liked the way the light was shining on the ground in the shape of the glass.

This one has been my 2nd favorite image for the last Macro Mondays Challenge. I thought i share it anyway :)
Glass is a non-crystalline, often transparent amorphous solid, that has widespread practical, technological, and decorative use in, for example, window panes, tableware, and optics. Glass is most often formed by rapid cooling (quenching) of the molten form; some glasses such as volcanic glass are naturally occurring. The most familiar, and historically the oldest, types of manufactured glass are "silicate glasses" based on the chemical compound silica (silicon dioxide, or quartz), the primary constituent of sand. Soda-lime glass, containing around 70% silica, accounts for around 90% of manufactured glass. The term glass, in popular usage, is often used to refer only to this type of material, although silica-free glasses often have desirable properties for applications in modern communications technology. Some objects, such as drinking glasses and eyeglasses, are so commonly made of silicate-based glass that they are simply called by the name of the material.

So I went for gander through the rural back streets of Storkow, as I know you always find something of interest. Happened upon this basketball net right under a rather bright street lamp, despite being late at night everything, thanks to this one light source was bright, colourful and when I took the LE and reviewed it, I got this tournament feel from it, all glitz, lights and glamour, admittedly surrounding a basketball net with no one around to setup a match.
I hope everyone is well and as always, thank you! :)
What a messed up summer here at home. Another rainy day and no chance to get ouside for some shooting. So why not playing around again with the stuff that`s inside the house ? Thought i go again for another trial for some reflections this afternoon. Here you go - i call it "Blurry Matrix" :)

Maybe some of you remember the last theme of 2021@ macromondays. I shared this image where you have seen 5 glass bottles filled with glitter and some extreme bokeh.
Now did you ask yourself how those glassbottles got in position? Here is the answer...this powerful tiny little helper had to do his job first before i could take my image :) You can guess that this was an extraordinary workout for him, But hey...i always can count on them :)
Thank you to all of you. You are an inspiration for me!

What a great fun challenge for the end of the year :)
This time we had to put two themes out of 2021 together into one image. So many ideas and choices. Should i go for another little world scene or something different without the tiny helpers ? I decided to take #Bottle(s) and #Five for my participation. Well it almost has gotten a Trio since i could add #Behindtheglass as well for this Shot. Or maybe #Holes and #sidelit - you decide :)
The year almost has ended and i would like to thank all of you who are Part of this amazing group. The members who share week after week their great images as well as the moderators who are doing an fantastic job to keep this group alive with such great themes.
Thank you to all of you. You are an inspiration for me!

Blurred vision is an ocular symptom where vision becomes less precise and there is added difficulty to resolve fine details. But isn`t it sometimes much more atractive to our eyes if things are out of focus? We can get lost searching for the sharp point in such an image cause our system fails!

Happy new Year to all of you!

Ths has been my 1st attempt for the last macro mondays challenge called "new". It shows a tiny little fossil watch for women in monochrome look. Diameter of the clock face is just 22mm. So you can imagine that this is really a small peace on a womans wrist.
I hope you all had a wonderful start into 2023 and i wish you and your beloved ones all the best. May all your wishes come true and keep healthy !

Another rainy day and no chance to get ouside for some shooting. So why not playing around with the stuff that`s inside the house ? Sometimes it doesn`t need much for a macro image. Thought i go for some reflections this afternoon and found something little in my kitchen. Here you go - i call it "spoon reflections" :)
