Since they don't exist in Bricklink's Studio, I had to recreate all the printed parts and stickers. I like the finished result. Will have to come up with a composite image that really shows it off.
Here is my final build in my colorwheel series of 2025. #colorwheelchallenge

Now that I've figured out how to render layers out of Bricklink Stud.io's Eyesight renderer, this is what can be done with just one of those layers, the Mist Layer. You can create Depth of Field and a mist or fog appearance. Both of the bottom images were created using only the two top images in Photoshop.
Depth of Field? I am super stoked about using this!

As I add more designs to my #bricklinkstudio modern U.S. Navy collection, I plan to compile all of them into a fleet. I would like to include an amphibious assault carrier like my USS Essex LHD-2 and an aircraft carrier such as my USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76 in a joint navy/marine fleet. Surrounding the carriers would be a number destroyers, a couple of cruisers, an attack sub for fleet defense under the waves, and auxiliary ships for replenishment.
To start this project off, I have a Wasp Class Amphibious Assault Ship and 2 variants of the Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer. I’m missing a carrier, the attack sub, the Ticonderoga Class Cruisers, and the auxiliary vessels.
The USMC portion is referred to as a Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and the Navy portion a Carrier Strike Group. The two portions usually meet up when on deployment or when taking part in exercises such as RIMPAC.
With that being said, I’ve got a heck of a lot of boats to design and redesign. Should be fun.
With the new modular for 2023 being part pizzeria and with me recently having spent half a year away from Sweden I thought it could be fun to build a lego version of perhaps the best Swedish food there is. The kebab pizza! Of course, with french fries.
I'm very happy in particular with the jalapeño and the piece of iceberg lettuce, though I would have wished for the dino tail piece to have been available in lime green.
I recently did a collaboration with Tim (tkbricks on Instagram). He recolored Boba Fett's Slave 1 as Buzz's Ranger 1 and I created the 3D environment and render with Cinema 4D, Octane, and Greyscalegorilla's gobo light filters.
Walked past a building the other day with balconeys arranged like a bar graph following a linear function as seen from above. I liked the mathematical elegance of it and immediately thought of part 6044 (Slope 53 3 x 1 x 3 1/3 with Studs on Slope) and knew I had to build it. After completion I was pretty happy with what I had accomplished, apart from two pieces not being available in the color I would have wanted. However, after seeing how expensive this build would have been to purchase the pieces for I decided I might as well just let it live in the computer. Let those two pieces be that color I wanted and let it be. So here are some shots of the finished product.
Probably this is the final digital update. Since the last post, I built the ship with the parts that I have in hand to see how everything works. You can check this multi colored one in my V-wing story Focus folder. Most of the build turned out great, it's main body is quite sturdy and the wing folding mechanism works perfectly. Based on the build, I hade to make some small changes to the design. I reduced the lenght of the guns from 4L bar to 3L and changed it's connection. The 4 tubes at the center on the underside, were to low on the groud because, the exo-force arms, that I used there. I replaced them with the smaller skeleton arms and these works way more bette. I also looked again on reference pics, and I noticed, that the space between the lower wings and the center axle is bigger, than between the axle and the upper wings. So I changed the lower wing's connections from mixle joint to longer, ratcheted joints. Also the spacer between the upper and lower wings, is a new slimmer design. Now you can see on the last 2 pisc, when it's landed, it sits higher to the ground.
I really love, how this ship turned out and can't wait to build with the right colors. I belive I will build quite some dioramas with this vehicle. I'm working on updating the instructions.
You can check the higher resolution pictures on my Bricksafe page:

What do you guys think about the updated parts?

Well, one more down. This one was pretty fun to revisit. I fixed a bunch of issues from my first version, and the only thing still bothering me is that main mast. Other than that, I’m quite happy with this design. Next, I will be moving on to the Whidbey Island Class dock landing ship.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that darkness is important in Dark Legacies. Post-apocalyptic Earth is lodged half way between the mortal realm and Hell, leaving the light of our universe far behind. During the day, the sun is dim and low in the sky. Nights are deepest black, with no moon or stars to light the way.
I was excited to find that there's a lighting mod for BrickLink Studio, and I've been posting some experimental renders on Instagram ever since. The effect is somewhat limited by Studio's default renderer, but it still adds great dynamism to a shot.
"Introducing my Dwarven Blacksmith Bust
Dig into some fantasy with this character bust of a Dwarven Blacksmith. The base is designed to appear as carved wood with some details of hammers and an anvil emblem. Enjoy building the ornate pauldrons with chainmail, the chestplate armor and suspenders and the stoic face of this white-haired dwarf with his braided beard and ponytail.
The Dwarven Blacksmith Bust is 22 cm deep, 30.1 cm wide, and 34.8 cm tall. with 2309 total parts."
I have submitted my first ever design for the Bricklink Designer Program Series 6. A few days ago I was inspired to make something uniquely me and different for the program. It took 3 days to design and 3 days to make instructions for it. Come October 7th-18th (pending that I don't need to change anything and this gets approved) I will need all of your help to get this crowd supported to potentially become a real set. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this! -Steven/Ghalad

I created a 2nd build for the digital category, Digitalibur, of Brickscalibur. This one took 2 days in total but was fun nevertheless. Hope you enjoy!
This was created using Bricklink Studio, Cinema 4D and Octane renderer. All made possible with @greyscalegorilla Plugins and @pugetsystems machine.
This fictional Brig was build in spain and served until 1715 in the spanish treasure fleet under the name of "El Dorado". Captured in a hurricane by jailed pirates under the lead of Cpt. Edward Kenway and Adéwalé which were supposed to be carried by the fleet to sevillle to execute them. Under Kenway, she was renamed to the name Jackdaw and became one of the strongest pirate ships in the seven seelas, with a peak of rediculous 56 canons.
Thanks to @chucky_in_charge for giving me a lot of advice here and there! Go and look go and check out his USS Constitution, which I took actually the inspiration and motivation for this build from. And if you haven't done or did it long ago, play AC4. NOW

I made this moving PacMan display that uses inter channel figures. The actual IDEA project page has gifs that show the moving of the figures in the build. The movement is done with a manual crank on the side of the stand which can be seen on other images in the project. The ghost figures on the stand are interchangeable with the figures you see on the side.

Inspired by the Lego designer, Wes Talbott and the drawing challenge #colorwheelchallenge I decided to do my own spin on it and do a digital Lego build for each color with my own rule being I must create a build within 4-5 days (about 20-25hrs max for each build). I've been busy with multiple projects lately (with a massive animation for one client) and I needed a creative break as well as an excuse to get back to digital building once more. That being said, I am not sure how soon I'll get to the next colors, but I'll be sure to do a creature-themed build for each. Once all are done, my hope is to create a video of the process for my Digitally Assembled Youtube channel. Hope you like this one so far.
Here is my sixth build in my colorwheel series of 2025. Does this count as a Frebrovery build? Haha! #colorwheelchallenge

Here is the next build from my #colorwheelchallenge
This was built digitally in Bricklink Studio and rendered using Greyscalegorilla Plus plugins and Octane inside Cinema 4D all made possible by a Puget Systems machine.
This took about 25hrs.
Here is my eighth and final build for the #colorwheelchallenge !
I was inspired by Wes Talbott and his dragon paintings to do this art challenge but with digital Lego and keeping each build under 24hrs of work.
It has been a blast creating these and in the next week or few I will put together a video for my Digitally Assembled Youtube channel discussing how I went about creating each of these.
This last one was based on a Red Ruffed Lemur (with a Panther skull).
If you look at each build you will see that I've covered every creature type (mammals are twice) and have 8 different character types that you could find in a role-playing game. This may be perhaps the strangest DND crew, but I'd love to see this team in action. I hope you liked this odd but fun experiment!
This was built digitally in Bricklink Studio and rendered using Greyscalegorilla plugins and Octane inside Cinema 4D all made possible by a Puget Systems machine.
Coming in at a length of 360ft (110m) and weighing in at approximately 6,000-7,000 tons (depending on submerged or surfaced), 62 Los Angeles subs were built from 1972 to 1996. Their 1 nuclear reactor, 2 steam turbines, and single screw propel them to 20 knots submerged or surfaced. Their endurance is 90 days. They are armed with 4x21in torpedo tubes and 12 vertical launch tubes. 30 have been retired while 28 are still in service.
If you need any reference, the USS Dallas SSN-700 in The Hunt for the Red October (one of my all time favorite films) was a Los Angeles.
I know the transition from the main hull to the bow and to the stern is a little rough, but I’m still figuring things out. Most of that is shadow anyways. Next I will do the Ohio Class. It’s my first sub so let me know what y’all think.

If you've been following me on instagram (instagram.com/gothbricks2000) you'd see that I've finally been playing with BrickLink Studio, a digital LEGO building app. The Beta was initially roughed out in real life, completed to about 80% in Studio, then tweaked and perfected again in real life, particularly when it came to realistic factors like gravity, centre of mass, and strength. Overall a super fun process. I didn't think I'd be compelled by building digitally but its very quickly become at the very least one more tool in my toolbox.

4. Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer Flight II (no hangar)
5. Ohio Class Ballistic Missile Sub
6. Los Angeles NuclearAttack Sub
I’ve got the backbone of the fleet (cruisers, destroyers, and submarines), but I still have a lot of work to do.
Ships I’m missing:
1. Nimitz/Gerald Ford Class Aircraft Carrier
2. Whidbey Island Class Dock Landing Ship
3. San Antonio Class Amphibious Transport Dock
4. Lewis and Clark Class Dry Cargo Ship (the resuppliers)
The new Freedom and Independence Class Littoral Combat Ships are specialized vessels for specialized missions and are not usually seen in a fleet setting. The Zumwalt Class’s future is uncertain seen as the Navy can’t decide what role they should fulfill and the enormous development costs. So for that reason, I don’t plan on doing the Zumwalt for the purpose of completing my fleet.

Another year, another ship… and a new Digitally Assembled video? Why yes!!
I created 红海 (Hóng Hăi) using the AI tool Midjourney to produce an image to base the design off of.
I worked with my friend and incredible concept artist, Till Freitag, to explore Midjourney and challenge us to create two very unique looking spaceships inspired by Midjourney’s prompt.
Are you curious how we created our designs? Follow the link to check out the video with Till and I on Digitally Assembled: youtu.be/kc8M9Iw9B_0
For those unfamiliar, SHIPtember is an annual LEGO community challenge where a builder must create a spaceship 100+ studs long on the longest axis within 1 months’ time. This is my third SHIPtember. This year was special with the inclusion of Midjourney and collabing with Till. The ship took roughly 62 hrs and was made in Bricklink Studio, Cinema 4D with Arnold, and Photoshop using my Puget Systems machine. Till’s art used Blender and Photoshop.(you can find his version on his and my Instagram page)
Here are my thoughts on my design’s fictional bio:
红海 (Hóng Hăi) is a Chinese deep space radiation research ship launched in the year 3090. It was made by the 太空海军研究会 (The Space Naval Research Society) in 3087 and reached Saturn on May 21st 3090. Its primary mission was to research a strange phenomenon of new unknown forms of radiation occurring near Saturn.
The ship is equipped with a large laser array to study the phenomenon and radiation levels up close. The main “sail” carries billions of sensors to detect various forms of radiation. It hosts a crew of 7 who are well shielded inside the spacecraft when not inside the large rear observation deck. The ship is 632.5 ft tall (192.79 meters). 7 years into its mission findings discovered the unique radiation was caused by The Shell, an alien inter-dimensional artifact discovered by German astronauts in 3093 near Neptune. The purpose of The Shell is yet to be determined but the radiation left in its wake was found to cause disruptions in the fabric of reality wherever it resided. Hóng Hăi’s taikonauts have been recognized for their findings upon return to earth.
The Lego model is 114 studs long (35.8in), 138 studs high (43. 6in), and 87 studs wide (27.3in) and has 7732 pieces.

The Gigaton Flux Inductor
Recently I got my "holy grail" Lego set: the M-Tron Mega Core Magnetizer. Being inspired by the incredibly cool set from the 1990s I thought it was due time to make my own M-Tron moc. In keeping with the epic M-Tron names I called this the Gigaton Flux Inductor. Also, since M-Tron is essentially a space-fairing mobile repair corporation I thought it fitting for them to have a mobile fuel truck for stranded rovers and spacecraft whether you are the Space Police, Blacktron, Unitron, you name it! Everyone's tank runs empty some day and M-Tron will be there to fill you up (for a price) with the mobile Gigaton Flux Inductor. The vehicle has six wheels (built using the technique found in the Lego Orchid base), two fuel pumps, a communications array, and a crew of 3.
This was made using Bricklink Studio, Cinema 4D, Octane, Greyscale Gorilla Plus lights and textures, and Photoshop.
Hope you like it!

Was asked if I could create decalled parts for the Speed Champions set #75909, McLaren P1. Didn't have the greatest source image to start with (and I don't own the set), so this is the best I could get.
It's okay, but what makes it work better is using a decent HDR for the lighting...not one of the drab ones that ship with Bricklink Studio
