Basking female on a breezy alpine hillside (2400 m) in the Mercantour National Park in the French Alps (6591)
This night photograph was taken over two weeks ago during my recent visit to Shanghai.
The photograph was taken from Waibaidu Bridge, on the West of Huangpu River, looking towards the landmarks in Shanghai Pudong. It was a breezy evening, with blurred reflections of the landmark structures, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower and Shanghai People's Heroes Monument (in red).
This photograph was taken last November at Dubai Marina.
It was breezy, and thus a long exposure was used to record the blurred reflections around the yacht club. The unique landmarks, including the Cayan Tower on the left of the photograph, and their colourful reflections were captured in this night scene.

This was taken a little earlier than the previous Ballaugh Shore one. The sun although strong did not wipe out the colours here. I liked this one because of the blue sky and the different layers of clouds. The lower grey ones were moving quite fast.

A very breezy morning with some excellent light on the trees. perfect combo with a slower shutter speed
A breezy winter morning on Little Hump Mountain.
Our hike up to Little Hump Mountain began in the dark with a wet snowy kind of sleet pouring down and ended on top of the mountain at dawn with strong wind and snow mixed with sleet. At home it was 40 degrees and raining but the forecast called for temperatures around freezing and a dusting of snow in the highest elevations. Todays forecast for the highlands was actually right.
There were about three inches of snow on the ground by the time we decided to cal it a day.
