The Breakers Mansion was built as the Newport summer home of Cornelius Vanderbilt II. The 70-room mansion has 62,482 square feet of living area on five floors and was constructed between 1893 and 1895. The footprint of the house covers approximately 1 acre or 43,000 square feet of the 14 acres estate on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
I stumbled across this little breaker room in a parking garage and fell in love with the grimy detail and isolated colors
