One of the wolves at Colchester in the middle of rolling around on the carpet the keepers had just sprayed. Not sure what the sprayed but the wolves liked it.
While I was in Birmingham for a couple of days, I decided to take some shots of the Bullring. It hasn't really been photographed enough has it? Feeling uninspired by that building, due to all the identikit shots taken by photographers before me, I wandered off and found these guys.
Collectively known as MDK, these are my least awful shots of them in action. They will be visiting Liverpool soon, so I'm hoping I might manage to shoot a bit better and do them justice.
Multiple posting this morning to get a few 'family' themed holiday snaps up on flickr and submitted to getty in time for this months 'artist's picks'.

B-boy Longka "Michael" Lor (aka M-PACT), age 21, photographed in Los Angeles.
The hip hop art of b-boying, or breakdancing, rose out of New York City in the late 1970s and quickly spread to Los Angeles and other urban areas. It has evolved from an underground dance form into a potent means of expression, and in some ways helped to catapult hip hop into a mainstream status as it appeared more and more in popular music -- and has subsequently become an indelible subculture among contemporary youth. But as one Los Angeles b-boy, Longka Michael Lor (aka M-PACT), is quick to point out, “b-boying started in the streets…it’ll always belong to the streets.” B-boys speak of it as a lifestyle that incorporates ALL aspects of hip hop culture: the dance, the music and the fashion. “B-boying is an art,” says Lor. “Every time I get down…I’m painting my art onto the floor with my moves.” All photographs in this series were shot in Los Angeles, May 2008.
