Breakdancing competition in the MIT student center. Only five dollars and it was amazing. I think this is the finals, or near the finals, of the bboy competition. There were a lot of video cameras in the audience, but so far only one video on YouTube that I can find.
First in a series of photos taken on the Mound on 8 February. Sheer coincidence, I happened upon the Bangor University Break Dancing Society practicing for an inter-university event on 9 February.

A group of kids started to do some breakdancing inside the train - somewhere in Upper West Side of NY. I forgot how it was in this city that used to be my favorite when I was in the other side of the coast...
Unfortunately I wasn't ready for an unexpected fast motion inside the train, so the lens selection wasn't probably the best... But as a result, I sort of like the motion blur here. — at Upper West Side, NYC (UWS).

Okay, no, he's actually not. But I was really fortunate to get this shot - my favorite in the series that I took of some local break dancers. Somehow, he goes from this move into a crazy looking flare. Amazing!
“US Cultural Ambassador / Dancer / Choreographer / Host”
Damon "DINKSWORTH" Holley, "US Cultural Ambassador / Dancer/ Choreographer /Host" and his troupe wowed crowds attending the Chestnut Hill Harry Potter Festival with their very high energy athletic and sometimes balletic breakdance routines. Shown in the video performing are Holley and then Rob "Dramatic" Viho. Not shown, but impressive also, are Jose Dejesus, Najee Rose, Antiwone Freeman and Shane Pettway.
In this photo, Viho. Watch video here
While I was in Birmingham for a couple of days, I decided to take some shots of the Bullring. It hasn't really been photographed enough has it? Feeling uninspired by that building, due to all the identikit shots taken by photographers before me, I wandered off and found these guys.
Collectively known as MDK, these are my least awful shots of them in action. They will be visiting Liverpool soon, so I'm hoping I might manage to shoot a bit better and do them justice.
