Blog: 1st Annual Mac-n-Cheese Cook-Off
My entry started with sauteed shallots bathed in mushroom broth with two bottles of Hoegaarden and about a pound of white cheddar and sharp cheddar (mixed), topped with my homemade breadcrumbs.
Made Eggplant Parmesan with my friends Jared and Pauline.

How to make the anchovy sauce.
You'll need (for 2):
2 tbsp olive oil, 2 cloves minced garlic, 4 anchovy cured in oil, 2 fresh tomatoes
Choose a large and deep frying pan that can hold the full amount of pasta. Heat some the olive oil and add garlic and fry for 1 minute. Add anchovy and let the fish melt in the oil (3min). Add tomatoes, mix well and let fry for another 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Fried egg in breadcrumbs. I saw this recipe, and thought it sounded really good, and it was :) I would have added some garlic to the breadcrumbs and oil if I had had any.
I couldn't be bothered to get out the food processor, so I just finely diced the bread, so the "crumbs" are more like small cubes.
Braised lentils layered between sheets of eggplant, topped with homemade white sauce and fresh breadcrumbs.
The wolf pulled the bobbin, and the door opened.

Taken at amusementpark The Efteling. The Efteling is the largest and most well-known amusementpark in the Netherlands. All the rides and sights within the park are based on fairytales.
Within The Efteling, there is a fairytale forest. Using all kinds of techniques, the theme park tells the stories of the most well known fairytales. This is the tale of Hansel and Gretel, written by the Brothers Grimm.
