Reasons to obey the signs that say 'No Swimming' in this lake. The water level from the flooding due to Hurricane Harvey in 2017 is visible here as the darker color of the lower parts of the trees. It results from the floodwater killing the lichens on the surfaces of the tree trunks. More than two years later, the flood's effects are still visible.
